Salt Lake City, Utah (July 23, 2004)—Black Diamond Equipment, Ltd. in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), voluntarily announced a recall of the Soliras Headlamp Lithium Ion Battery because of a possibility that affected batteries may overheat and become a burn or fire hazard.

The limited manufacturing run of Black Diamond Soliras headlamp Lithium Ion Batteries produced from March 2004—May 2004 can be identi€ed by the four digit date code located on the battery label. Batteries with date codes: 0703, 0803, 0903, 1003, 1103, 1203, 0104, 0204, 0304, 0404, 0504 should immediately be returned to an authorized Black Diamond Dealer for a free replacement battery.
