Express Ice Screw wurde bewertet mit 4.9 von 5 von 35.
Rated 5 von 5 von aus The Express Crews are Amazing!!!! The screws are great and I don't have a single complaint. They are the best innovation to modern day ice climbing and they are a life saver literally. I have 11 screws and plan to order a few more, I currently have 22, 19, 16, 13, and a 10. I know they work because I had a buddy take a 30 foot fall on a 16 and it held solid and I've taken a 20 foot on a 13 with no issues. Make sure you research how to use them or take a class because 90% of the reason they work is knowing how to place them correctly. The handle on them is a life saver and makes placement so fast and effortless compared to the turbo and it's well worth the extra money to get these screws. Good luck to all looking to buy and Climb On!!!

Rated 5 von 5 von aus What a good screw! My AMGA guide introduced me to these while learning to ice climb in Hyalite. I lead WI4 and this is the only screw that I have. I won't be buying any other screws anytime soon and will replace my current pieces with BD when the time comes. I like the bite and ease of setting. Super smooth insertion/progress, once started. Folding handle is awesome. Rack well. I've driven these right into rocks and frozen dirt on the back side of the falls. The screws had a more difficult time biting into the ice...but that's my fault. The screws still worked and just needed some quick attention in the garage when I got back. Plenty of people have more experience, but I love the product and price. And Black Diamond.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Keeps you from getting screwed Easy placement and durability sum it up. Everyone carries a different quiver, I'm a huge fan of stacking my rack with 13's and 16's, with a stubby or two just in case and perhaps something longer for v-threads. BD's familiar color scheme makes identifying the right size a breeze.

Rated 4 von 5 von aus simple, slick, functional The Express ice screw simply works great. I switched a couple of years ago to the BD screws, and it’s been the right choice. They bite the ice in the first quarter turn really well. And the size of the handle is just right whatever gloves I wear. My rack is now almost entirely made up of BD Expresses. I need just two improvements on your next gen screws, and BD will be my only ice screw supplier: . Improved evacuation of the ice in the first 2/3 turns. This is particularly visible in hard/cold ice, in which some competitor's screws are easier to turn (I think about the guys from Courmayeur, Italy). I suspect this is strongly linked to their more swept angles on the biting teeth. They’re actually more swept, and both front and back surface of the teeth tend to lean towards the inside of the screw; whereas the Express’ back surface simply pushes axially against the ice rather than evacuating it toward the inside of the screw. . So far, I always keep a couple of old 360 screws on my rack. It’s for those awkward placements inside a concave surface. It would be nice if you could offer the Express with a 360-like foldable handle (even if only on one length of screw), or if you could give more angular freedom to the handle for those concave placements Anyway, the Express is overall a great product: simple, slick, functional, wear-resistance, rust-free. I tool would definitely recommend for all alpinists.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Best screw out there! The express screw is super easy to place. Never have problems getting them to catch the ice when starting the placement! The color coding on the cranks make it quick to identify the correct length screw I need. The cranks allow you to sink the screw all the way to the hanger in seconds. The fold away crank helps prevent snags when racking. Great product that takes the stress out of ice protection.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus BD Express Why are BD Express screws the best? 1. Agressive tooth profile ease starting. 2. Speed dial for fast placement. 3. Very smooth finish makes placing in hard ice and cleaning the core easier. 4. Multiple clipping holes. 5. Narrow gauge hanger makes for efficient racking on your harness (I easily carry 6-7 BD express per ice clipper.)

Rated 4 von 5 von aus A staple to the ice climber's quiver The express screws bite quickly and go in easy. The trigger allows for fast and comfortable placing. I hanger is thin which makes racking screws on ice clippers very streamlined. My favorite part of the express screw is that it has two holes on the hangar. This makes anchoring in and building your anchor simple and efficient.

Rated 5 von 5 von aus Love These! I love everything about these screws: the sizes, ease in placing, the convenience of the handles, the ease in cleaning, and how they nest on my rack (facing toward the back). I've not used any other screws, so I can't offer a comparison. But once I had my first Express, I had to complete the rack. Easy to sharpen, as well.
