To the end of the World - and then one more step...'

I can't resist following the call of adventure. I'm of the strong conviction that life offers more that a 9-to-5 rhythm, because I've travelled far and will again travel even farther. It doesn't really matter where this path takes me, because the way is the goal.

Change makes life interesting, so I'm happy that my path has led me to BD, because it's never boring around here.

Birthday? 3rd Oct 1979

Year you first started at Black Diamond? Feb 2010

Memory/story of your first week at Black Diamond? "Normally everything runs smooth...but just now there are some exceptional issues..."

What does working at Black Diamond mean to you? The feeling "I can work" instead of "I must work" is great. Bringing all the motivation of the spare time activities into business is rarely possible but at BD it is just an "every day thing". It is so much more fun to work when you identify your-self with the products, the company and its image/brand.

If you weren't working for Black Diamond, what would you be doing? Wearing a tie and a suit...waking up everyday at 6am and return home late at night - dealing with no real things and not adding any values to the world (except from the shareholder-value;)

Worst job you've ever had? Call-center-employee in a team that was already burnt out!

Do you have any pets? A small version of a tiger and 10 kitchen-herbs

Favorite sports/activities? Freeriding and touring with board & skis, all versions of climbing, surfing, travelling, taking pictures...if possible all combined together.

Favorite climbing/skiing area and why? On one hand the Jura-Südfuss region, because that is where everything started on the other hand Mallorca because it's just great to practice DWS at 25° C.

Best climbing/skiing experience? Ski/Board: The "Goosebumps" after the runs in Zermatt on those perfect days...

Climbing: The unforgettable routes in Mallorca and of course the BBQ right on the beach after a hard day of climbing.

What's your dream trip? Where? With who? Once across Africa from North to South with a 4x4 Camper accompanied by "ma Chérie"... or all around "America del Sur" with public transportation... or shreddering down virgin powder hillsides in Alaska with my best friends...or...damn the world is too big!

Guilty pleasure? A totally unplanned day of powder even if I've got lots of meetings and appointments.

BD gear you use every time you go climbing/skiing? Headlamp Spot, ATC-Guide, Express slings, Friends, Nuts, Method Ski Boot, Guru, Poles and of course various back bags.

What/who inspires you? My family, my friends and the nature with its overwhelming diversity.

What's in your iPod? Don't have an iPod...the only important sound, is the sound of nature.

Three things you'd never travel without? Pocket knife, first aid kit and a credit card, possibly with money on it;-)

Superstitions? Only if I need a good excuse!

What's your dream job? Test person/pilot for power or maybe island caretaker?

If you could have dinner with three people (dead or alive) who would they be? Doesn't matter the whole world is welcome at my home. Important is only that some good food, an excellent wine and a irresistible dessert is involved.

Do you have any tattoos or piercings? Do scars count?
