Black Diamond's 19th annual Utah Avalanche Center fundraising party raises $66,000

bdLast month Black Diamond Equipment hosted the 19th annual fundraiser party for the Utah Avalanche Center, bringing out a record number of supporters from the Utah ski community. The beautiful Thursday evening in September provided a great atmosphere for the unofficial kick-off party for the 2012/2013 ski season and helped to raise $66,000 in operating funds for the Utah Avalanche Center. (The fundraiser party accounts for about 22% of the annual operating funds for the Utah Avalanche Center.) The Utah Avalanche Center provides an invaluable public service to the Utah ski community with detailed, daily statewide avalanche forecasts from November through April that keep people on top of the snow and educated on the natural hazards in the mountains.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the Utah Avalanche Center. The organization is largely supported by private donations and would not be able to continue to operate with out the generous support of the local community!
