Warranty/Repair

High quality equipment and dependability are two of the most important principles in Black Diamond's product design. That is why we guarantee to the original buyer, who bought the product at retail, that our products are free of defects in material and workmanship. The warranty includes all material and workmanship defects for the time of one year for skiing and climbing products and three years from the purchase date on for headlamps. A defective product that is covered by this warranty will be repaired or replaced free of charge.


Excluded from the warranty are products that are damaged by normal wear and tear, lack of care, negligence, inappropriate use and maintenance, use for different purposes than intended, application of force, wanton or malicious use or outside factors such as rock fall, rocks, ski edges etc.


Procedures for Warranty
Your first partner to address warranties is your sports retail dealer where you bought the product. Please follow the following procedure:

1. Clean the product and have your receipt handy.
2. Bring your product to the retail location.
3. The retailer contacts Black Diamond.
4. Black Diamond processes the warranty.
5. The product is shipped back to the retailer.
6. You receive a new or repaired product.
