Birthday? January 4, 1971

Year you first started skiing? In the winter of 1975

Three skiing achievements you are most proud of? Two Freeskiing World Championship titles (1996 and 2001), X-Games bronze medal, and skiing all 54 Colorado 14ers in less than a year.

Memory/story of the first time you ever went skiing? I remember learning to ski on this small hill in the parking lot of Mt. Cranmore, NH.  It was basically a 50-foot high pile of dirt and when I see it now i can't believe that's where I learned.

Favorite skiing area and why? I have so many favorites, but any day up in Highlands Bowl at Aspen Highlands is hard to beat, even though Chamonix and Portillo are homes away from home for me these days.

Best skiing experience? Dropping into a foot of powder on the Lhotse Face of Mt. Everest.

Worst skiing experience? I've never had a bad skiing experience.

What's your dream trip? Where? With who? My dream ski descent would be from the summit of K2 in perfect conditions with two close friends.

Guilty pleasure? Swedish Snus.

BD gear you use every time you go skiing? Gloves, poles, AvaLung pack, shovel and probe.

Something that annoys you while skiing? Irresponsibility.

What/who inspires you in skiing? People who set high goals for themselves and then figure out how to make those goals a reality.

Favorite après-ski meal? Nachos.

What's in your iPod? I've got 5 iPods filled with everything from live Dead to reggae to current hip-hop.

Strangest place you've ever woken up? In a flea-bag hotel in Nabire, West Papua.

Strangest person you've ever woken up with? Some random drunk guy walked into our house and fell asleep in my kids bedroom thinking he was in his friends house next door.

Three things you'd never roadtrip without? My skis, my bike, and my music.

Superstitions?  I'm not very superstitious, but I don't like talking about success on a mountain or ski descent until it's done.

What's your dream job? Exactly what I'm doing right now of course!

How are you training when you are not skiing? I ride my bikes a ton, go climbing on Independence Pass, and trail run in the Elk Mtns near Aspen.

If you could steal one thing and not get caught, what would it be? A new house in the West End of Aspen.

If you could have dinner with three people (dead or alive) who would they be? Reinhold Messner, Sir Ernest Shackleton, and Deitrich Mateschitz (founder and owner of Red Bull)
