Three climbing achievements you are most proud of? Tahu Rutum attempt, North face of Xuelain West and the East Face of Mt. Edgar.
Memory/story of the first time you ever went climbing? Using the seatbelt from my cousin's 89' Jeep Laredo as the top-roping anchor. Pete's Rock , 1994, ah yeah.
Favorite climbing area and why? Pakistan, the biggest most badass mountains on earth. And Zion because the turkey's look so appetizing, climbing ain't bad either.
Best climbing experience? You know, they're all pretty damn good.
Worst climbing experience? My cousin's death while climbing a big wall in Baffin in 2005.
What's your dream trip? Where? With who? Sometimes I hope to live in Pakistan for a few years with my girlfriend and see the seasons change, climb tons, and hang out with some pretty cool people.
Guilty pleasure? Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, the soft ones.
BD gear you use every time you go climbing? Not EVERY trip, but if the Cobras, Stingers, a small rack, and Xenos harness is packed then I know I'm in for a good time
Something that annoys you while climbing? Frozen snot.
What/who inspires you in climbing? Anyone willing to commit themselves to pursuing their limits in the name of self-growth and have fun doing it.
Favorite après-climb meal? Hamburger.
Favorite climbing flick? Cold is the real deal.
What's in your iPod? Man, I need to find that thing, thanks for reminding me.
Strangest place you've ever woken up? Venezuelan jungle with Mike Libecki screaming that there were tics on his balls (sorry Mike).
Strangest person you've ever woken up with? Hayden Kennedy drooling on my shoulder at an open bivy on K7.
Three things you'd never roadtrip without? French press, climbing shoes, and psych!
Superstitions? I heard that not drinking coffee in the morning can lead to terrible things, but I've never been willing to find out.
What's your dream job? Livin the dream, PhD.
How are you training when you are not climbing? Espresso, running, weightlifting, the occasional ski tour, lots of climbing.
If you could steal one thing and not get caught, what would it be? I'm pretty happy with what I've got.
If you could have dinner with three people (dead or alive) who would they be? A dinner table with Jesus Christ, Darwin, and Tim Leary might be pretty interesting.
Do you have any tattoos or piercings? Nope, I'd be psyched, but too expensive.
