Craig Hatton is one of Black Diamond's Sales Reps and also one of our most stoked skiers, frequently making summer trips down to South America to get his off-season powder fix. Here is his second email blast, this time from Las Lenas. (To read Craig's first email click here)

Dear Mom.....sorry it has taken so long to write but I have been immersed in powder for the last 5 days. 300+ cm in the last 5 days here in Las Lenas. Unbelievable! The people here in Las Lenas have treated me so well it is incredible. Lots of big guns in town, too....Oakley shoot with all the athletes, including BD athlete...Seth Morrison. He is a super cool guy by the way. There is a big Freeride comp going on next week so it should be a fun event. I donated some gear for the event and they were super appreciative. Much BD gear representin' down here....Seth with the new Bandit....you can spot him from a mile away.
Saw some random gringo do a double corked backflip off a 50 footer, pegged it and launched a 60 footer right after the landing......sick. Tons of good skiers down here right now. We hit it perfectly.
After being in Portillo, Chile for a few days and coming here....there is no comparison. Las Lenas is the best terrain of all resorts in South America...hands down. Again, we showed up here after a 1 meter dump at the base 2+ meters on top. A bluebrid powder day the following day then another foot after that. We had a bluebrid powder day again today and Las Lenas took me up in the cat as the Marte lift was closed......its all about the Marte, when its open it is a life changing experience. When it is not, and you have good friends here, you just take the cat up to the top. Kidding....we were blessed to be invited by Las Lenas with all the Oakley crew.
Too many people to acknowledge here....but I must say the people here have treated me (and Black Diamond) so well I am in awe. Life is good amigo......more to follow.
