Greetings from Europe! I’m in Disentis, Switzerland right now with BD athlete Tor Eggebo, having him test some Fall 2011 protos. Yesterday was all-time, and what a cool spot this is.
I’m one month into the European dealer tour, debuting the new line of Efficient Series skis and boots. So far, so good, and am heading into Munich tomorrow for the ISPO show.
Last weekend I got the best days of the year for Verbier, and the week before killed it with BD skiers Andrea Binning and Stian Hagan in Chamonix, skiing 4 days with them and some dealers. Could not have been any better, nor with better guides as they! I connected with Trey Cook for a tour off Grand Montet as well, and check out his blog at www.chamonixinsider.com for an interview covering some of the details of the new boot line. Later I had an epic solo cliff-out episode complete with an hour sketch downclimb. Luckily I had the new Neve crampon and axe with me, and well placed willows for rapping. I’ll save that tale for another time…
Back to the States in another 4 weeks. Next week, the Arlberg, basing out of St. Anton, then down to La Grave after that.
It seems like "I" had a good time back at the recent SIA tradeshow in Denver, from the looks of the pics (yes, I've seen them on the Black Diamond facebook page… someone’s going to pay).
