Adam Ondra and Sonnie Trotter join the Black Diamond Global Team
From Yuji Hirayama to Marko Prezelj to Dave MacLeod to Ines Papert to Fred Nicole to Alex Honnold, the climbers on Black Diamond’s Global Team are some of the best boulderers, sport climbers, trad masters and alpinists in the world. And now we’re stoked to announce that we’ve added two more aces to the deck: Adam Ondra and Sonnie Trotter.
Adam Ondra is the present and the future. No other climber has accomplished as much in such a short period of time as this 17-year-old mutant from Czech Republic. From 5.14 onsights to 5.15 redpoints, Adam seems unstoppable, ticking off the world’s hardest routes at an unheard of rate.
Sonnie Trotter has set himself apart from the field with his pursuit of bold, high-end bolt-free trad lines throughout the globe. Few climbers have combined their sport climbing fitness with heady climbing as well as Sonnie has, and his dedication to the craft has paid off with numerous 5.14 trad ascents.
