Build My Own FeedBD athletes Dave MacLeod and Tim Emmett to make first ascent on live BBC broadcast this Saturday
This Saturday (August 28) at 1:35 pm (BST) Black Diamond athletes Dave MacLeod and Tim Emmett will make a first ascent on Scotland’s 200-meter high Sron Uladail. The big deal? It will be televised LIVE as “The Great Climb” on the BBC. If you don’t get BBC Scotland as part of your cable package, you can stream it live on the BBC Sport Scotland website, or watch it after the broadcast here.
Here’s what the BBC has posted about the event: “A spectacular live rock climb broadcast from the daunting overhanging cliff face at Sron Uladail on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Dougie Vipond joins leading climbers, Dave MacLeod and Tim Emmett, as they attempt a first ascent of an extreme new route, which promises to stretch their physical endurance and skill to the limit. With absolutely no guarantee that they will be able to conquer the route, and the huge physical and technical challenges involved, this promises to be a unique and compelling live event.”
