Build My Own FeedNico Favresse——Baffin Island Expedition UPDATE #1
Black Diamond athlete Nico Favresse, his brother Olivier, and friends Stephane Hanssens and Sean Villanueva are off for a multi-week free-climbing expedition to the big walls of Baffin Island, Canada. According to Nico, they plan to walk up the Weasel Valley and climb anything that looks good. Mount Asgard is one of the spots where they are really hoping to climb but who knows what or where they'll end up climbing! Between the four-day walk, loads of heavy gear and polar bear activity, Nico expects it be an exciting trip.
Nico plans on sending us updates via their satelite phone as the adventure and climbing develops. We will post his messages here so that everyone can follow along, so be sure to keep checking back for updates from the team!

Subject: Arrived in Canada!
We just arrived in Ottawa, Canada. We got away without paying extra-weight for our heavy loads! And since we arrived we have been warmly welcome by Freed, Jodie and Jen (some old friends of Sean). We did our last shopping but most important Olivier found a new big wall Instrument...
We estimate it as one of the main ingredients for our success! Tomorrow we will land on Baffin Island.
