I was a bit disappointed with the distance range of the new icon. I also have the older icon and max distance is much longer in the older model. I was not happy with the brighness over time of the older model. New model seems to maintain its brightness over time much better. New model has a much brighter and broader beam and light is much more white. Very good for lighting the trail for running. Just need to get the max distance up to where the older model was. I use mine for rogaines and the distance is important when helping locate control flags.

200 lumens, wow.
It doesn't appear to be power regulated, so there would be some dimming over time. Any thoughts to having a regulated version?
