Subject: Tent mildew

I had to pack up a Bibler I-Tent wet after an expedition that meant it took days of traveling before I could get it out and dry it. It now has mildew stains. Can you advise on how I can treat the tent to remove the stains or at least stop the mildew spreading?

Once mildew starts it’s almost impossible to eliminate completely, at least without harming your tent too. We really like this wash-in product we sell called Mirazyme made by McNett Corp. It was originally marketed as an odor eliminator for wetsuits but they found that it did an amazing job controlling and stopping mildew on tents and other outdoor related fabrics. We’ve been selling it for years and swear by it. Completely safe for your I-Tent. It won’t get rid of the stains and may not eliminate the mildew completely but it should stop  it from spreading further.

This tent is an awesome replacement for a standard portaledge fly. It gives you full coverage without the hassle of cramming the ledge into a wrap-around fly or the risk of the fly material being damaged by being pinched between the ledge frame and the rock.

The easy set-up from the internal pole system, the bathtub floor, great condensation management and door make it the ultimate bigwall system. Plus, you have a shelter for both the base and the summit!

i like a tent that can be open on both sides..to make it dry quickly when it is wet..and also not hot inside the tent..
