18th Annual Utah Avalanche Fundraiser—a HUGE success!

The 18th Annual Utah Avalanche Center Fundraiser Party was off the charts this year. With attendance hitting between 1100-1200 people this was definitely the party marking the unofficial start to the ski season here in the Wasatch! We are still working on tallying up all the money raised, but at this time it looks like the fundraiser produced an upward of $50K-$60K—all of which goes directly to the Utah Avalanche Center!

We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the Utah Avalanche Center; this is the UAC’s largest fundraiser of the year and he has been coordinated and held on the Black Diamond Equipment campus for 18 years straight. It is great to see the Salt Lake ski community come out in full support of this great public service provider who depends more and more and donations from the private sector.


A huge thanks goes out to the sponsors, Uinta Brewery for providing the beer (20 or so kegs this season). Rico Mexican for providing all the great food and servers. And of course all the volunteers who helped organize the event.


Now it’s time to pray for snow!! Have a great winter!!
