3rd Annual Yangshuo Climbing Festival—October 29-31

yangBlack Diamond athletes Yuji Hirayama and Sam Elias will be hosting clinics and slideshows this year at the 3rd Annual Yangshuo Climbing Festival in Yangshuo, China, the top sport climbing area in the country. As in past years, the event, sponsored by Black Diamond and The North Face, will draw climbers from all over the world to climb and celebrate amongst the stunning limestone karst spires outside of Yangshuo.

Hirayama and Elias, as well as other professional climbers, will be giving climbing clinics and presenting a multi-media show of their sport-climbing trip to Turkey earlier this year. There will also be a bouldering competition that in the past has been one of the most popular events of the weekend.

From the event website: "The twin goals of the Yangshuo Climbing Festival are to promote a sense of community among climbers throughout China in a fun, friendly and casual atmosphere and to support the sustainable development of rock climbing in the Yangshuo area."
