Build My Own FeedBlack Diamond CEO Peter Metcalf and Utah Outdoor Industry Given Entrepreneur of the Year Award
On February 17, Black Diamond CEO Peter Metcalf accepted the MountainWest Capital Network's 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year Award on behalf of the entire Utah outdoor industry.
Each year MWCN recognizes the Entrepreneur of the Year, who has demonstrated an ability to achieve significant entrepreneurial success, made a positive contribution to the entrepreneurial climate of Utah, and show a propensity for giving back to the community.
"The outdoor industry is the very fiber of everything that is economically great about Utah," said Reed Chase, chairman of the MWCN Entrepreneur of the Year committee. "It is an honor to recognize all of the entrepreneurs who participate in the industry. We are also especially pleased Peter is willing to accept the Entrepreneur of the Year on their behalf."
