BD Band crushes at Outdoor Industry All-Star Jam

bd bandThe Black Diamond Band completely and utterly dominated the Outdoor Industry All-Star Jam at Salt Lake Cirty's Club Elevate on Saturday, January 23 in front of a sold-out crowd of 600-plus. The BD Band is comprised of:

Kolin Powick – Rhythm Guitar – Director of Quality
Andy Meriman – Lead Guitar – Procurement Manager
EJ (Eric Johnson) – Sales Rep
John Easterling – Lead Vocals – Former Quality Assurance Engineer
Aaron Larry – Drums – has never technically worked at BD, but has applied for jobs here...

The show was part of the annual Outdoor Retailer Tradeshow, the bi-annual gathering of outdoor companies to showcase their latest and greatest equipment and clothing. Five other excellent industry bands played at the gig, but it was the BD Band that stole the show with their seven-song, 30-minute set, featuring tight covers of Ben Harper, Kings of Leon, Pearl Jam, The Headstones, Clutch, Cracker and the Pixies songs.

They stole the show with "Sex on fire" -- best band of the show! John Easterling truly paid homage to Black Francis that night.
