17th annual Utah Avalanche Center fundraising party at Black Diamond a HUGE success!

You know winter is right around the corner when 1000 local skiers gather in the Black Diamond parking lot to raise money for the Utah Avalanche Center! Yup the temps are dropping, the trees are changing colors and we are counting the days until the white stuff starts to cover the mountains here in the Wasatch.

Last Thursday marked the 17th annual Black Diamond Utah Avalanche Center fundraising party. Twenty kegs (courtesy of Uinta Brewing) and several cases of Redwood Creek wine later and tons of tasty tamales from Rico Mexican Market, we are happy to announce we raised about $50,000 for the Utah Avalanche Center—our best fundraising total ever.  The Utah Avalanche Center provides the backcountry skiers of Utah with information and education needed to travel safely in the backcountry during the winter.
