All-employee meeting today—CANCELED DUE TO EPIC POWDER
We were supposed to have our quarterly all-employee meeting today at 8:30 am here at Black Diamond in Salt Lake City, where President and CEO Peter Metcalf updates all of us about the current state and direction of BD. At 4:45 pm yesterday, however, Metcalf sent an email out to all employees, canceling the meeting until later in the week. His reason: an epic forecast of THREE FEET of snow in the Wasatch in 24 hours. His message: work can wait, go get some powder. So rather than sitting in the conference room this morning, most us got out and scored some of the best, deepest and absolute-blower powder of the year. Yeah, we have a pretty cool boss.
With that in mind, we figured we'd share this clip BD athlete Chris Erickson made of a powder day he enjoyed last week at Snowmass, Colorado. Watch it and then imagine how sick the THREE FEET of Utah fresh was today. (Oh, and it's STILL snowing out, so tomorrow should be off the charts as well.)
