The Good Life with Ptor Spricenieks

Ptor Spricenieks is better known for his big mountain skiing exploits than his yodeling talents. Turns out he's pretty dang good at both. Ptor recently sent us this drool-worthy clip from his 2008-09 season.

After a string of terrible injuries in the winter of 2008 (that included 10 days of sciatic paralysis and an exploded tibial plateau) and a summer of strenuous rehabilitation, the universe brought forth the winter of 2009. As usual, the winter didn’t need saving and ended up saving me. In the southern French and Italian Alps, the largest snowpack in memory provided my final means to recovery; powder therapy and non-stop sweet vertical. This video is a little “harvest" of a summer's hard work. The riding is here at home in La Grave and some other crucial zones not too far away which we've been filming for the upcoming G+S Productions' film “Between the Lines.” The idea: living and nurturing an existence based on the tangible and realness of mountain passions and permaculture, not based on the fleeting and delusional fantasy of the monetary system. Growing a garden is the ultimate form of rebellion. —Ptor Spricenieks
