Rated 4 out of 5 by HuntingMedic from Great crampons, but need buying options These are great crampons and easy to get on/off. I have the Pros, and they are rock solid once on. My issue isn’t with the crampons, it’s with the buying options......or lack there of. It would be nice to be able to choose what toe bails and flex bars you need when buying. I wear a size 47 in my La Sportiva Baruntse (double boot), so I had to purchase the Long Flex Bars and Wide Toe Bails to be able to use these with my boots. Didn’t realize I needed the wide bails until I received them, and then had to pay additional shipping for the new bails. Now I have short flex bars and 2 sets of toe bails (narrow and regular), that I have no use for. Could have saved $30 plus cost of shipping, if I was able to choose the parts I needed when buying the crampons initially.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sprockter from Great all-around crampons. Dislike toe bails These crampons are fantastic. They cut through the ice well for ice climbing and travel well across glaciers while walking. The are perfect all-around crampons. Only issue: Replacing the toe bails (narrow to wide or vice versa) is horrifically difficult, and scary to do. Try to avoid replacing them as much as possible. My understanding is BD did fix this issue, but a heads up if not. Otherwise, highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cyril from Great All-around Crampon After over a year of using these crampons I have to say I am happy with their performance as a general all-around mountaineering crampon. I have one pair for summer use and another pair devoted completely to ski mountaineering objectives. (I had to modify the front bail as I have a ski boot with a really funky front without a regular welt; bought a second pair rather than having to change things back and forth.) If you do predominantly technical ice or mixed climbing you may want to look at the BD Cyborg or Stinger instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jackson from Work well, but not super technical These are the perfect crampons for front-pointing up steep snowfields, but they get sketchy on pre-dawn ascents on ice. On solid ice they just don't have great purchase. I understand that the flat front points are what make them so good when front-pointing on snow, so they get 5 stars in that category, but for technical mountaineering they aren't quite technical enough. I would love to see BD sell front plates (like Petzl) so I could bring up some Cyborg front plates with me and change them out depending on the route I'm taking that day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kiwiblair from Quality product These crampons performed exactly as they are supposed to. Set up was relatively easy, and once fitted they worked exactly as needed for some Spring ski mountaineering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Patrick from ...When the Tiger want to reach the summit Bought to MEC (Québec City) The Sabertooth pro was the perfect choice to perform my fast & light mountaineering style. From the snow to the ice & rock, nothing can't stop the Sabertooth to reach the summit. I use the Sabertooth Pro with the Scarpa Mont Blanc pro GTX. That fit perfectly and the feeling is AMAZING! A part fo my new 2017 Black Diamond Kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by moose from Love 'em. I am using these as my ski mountaineering crampons because I occasionally do encounter mixed rock conditions as I ski in the late spring/summer and I don't mind the added weight on most missions. I am thinking about getting a second pair of aluminum neves, but honestly, that's a luxury item - these would be my first go-to. They fit well and so far have been bombproof.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sam from Good for snow, not for ice. These crampons are not aggressive enough to climb ice but they do rather well at climbing alpine snow. If you are looking to buy these with hopes that you will be able to climb ice as well, look for a different pair, specifically the cyborgs.
