Rated 3 out of 5 by Max from perfect in principal great pack that i haven't had long but one flaw in the design is the lack of bottom compression straps but i dont care to much. this pack would get five stars but for one reason durability of the stitching really not that good the rope strap is coming away. i would really like to see the stitching improved however i think the fabric isn't durable enough to take being sewn and then even having the slightest force exerted on it, which is a shame. perfect in design but maybe more field testing and slightly thicker fabrics with improved stitching. i have had the pack less than 8 weeks so a bit of a disappointment as the stitching is coming away in more places.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jacob from Solid I got this pack about 1 year ago for short and fast multi-pitch climbs and it's met and surpassed my expectations in this regard. Since then, I've begun using it for most climbing days because its very functional for its relatively small size. The part I like most is that it has a very streamlined and effective system for securing your rope to the top of the bag, which leaves the interior for storing other necessities. The pack itself can store a days worth of water, food, and a limited amount of gear. I've also used it for days hikes, works very well for that purpose. Thank you, BD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Karissa from Spot On Done-In-A-Day Alpine Pack If you can't fit everything you need for a fair (ish) weather day of alpine climbing in this pack...you're doing it wrong. This is a great pack! It has just enough features to be useful (both the top and bottom straps on the side of the pack unclip, which is helpful to secure the ends of the rope or other items, maybe even skis but I haven't tried it yet. There is plenty of webbing length on all the pack's straps; crampon patch; removeable lid with 2 zip storage spots). Bought it for summer alpine in the Rockies, performed flawlessly. No issues with durable thus far. If you need space for more significant overnight/cooking gear, I suggest you size up to 30-40liters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Josh from the Speed 22 packs a punch. As a member of the valley Search and Rescue team in Yosemite, we have the opportunity to carry all types of loads. Sometimes its a haulbag stuffed with 600 feet of 11mm static line, other times its a rack and rope. During the rescues where I need to be light and compact, the Speed 22 has just enough room to carry my personal gear, while utilizing the outer straps to attach my rope. It fits nicely on the back of the litter or the wheel (a big rubber tire used to roll the patient and litter down the trail). The removable brain is big enough to fit a few pairs of examination gloves, headlamp plus batteries and some snacks for the extended carryouts from Nevada Falls or from anywhere else in the park. The suspension system is not over built or complex, it is simple and comfortable. I have been using my Speed 22 for the past few months here in Yosemite. Whether its climbing the NIAD or going on a long carryout, this little rucksack packs a punch.
