Rated 4 out of 5 by go outside from burn time? on your website the listed burn time on high setting is 40 hours, this had me excited to purchase however I just bought one and the physical booklet that came with it says only 20 hours on high... thats a pretty big difference. I was bummed about that, however it is a nice lightweight headlamp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bicycle Mike from Great combination of features! I chose this headlamp as a great upgrade to cabinet installation toolbox. It easy to use with solid tilt détentes and a dimming function. It has a nice even fairly wide angle beam and that is perfect for what I need. It also works well for a general purpose headlamp. You can't beat the price for the value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Richard from Nice LED headlamp What I especially like is the fact that this LED headlamp remembers the brightness level set. It also looks nice and wears nicely. And it seems to have all the functionality I typically want in a LED headlamp. And it's substantially cheaper than other headlamps I would get to use as my main LED headlamp for, say, backpacking or repairing my vehicle at night. But I already have a couple of more expensive LED headlamp from BlackDiamond. So basically I keep this Astro headlamp as a backup in case I lose or temporarily misplace the more expensive ones.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dee Cee from A good, broad lamp with a buzz! Audible high pitched electronics buzz, louder when dimmed. Broad, cool white light, prefect for reading magazines up close - variable brightness. Decent long range, but can't match a spot light for throw distance, like an Cosmo. Battery case latch is super loose, just head banging can open - oddly, the Cosmo's it's far too tight to open easily. Head strap never stays in position after wear. Need to adjust before wearing often. Good range angling down. Comfortable, nothing that'll catch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by No thank you from Long lasting! I am a service and repair plumber, so I use headlights most of the time I'm at work. Compared to other brands I've tried, Black Diamond is superior. My headlight gets 10-20 hours of use per week and continues to light up my workspace after a year. I can not say that about other brands. I'm a believer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rich Rich from My fav I lost this so I bought the comparable Petzl. I found it so I have both.. I like the Astro better. The band has more flexibility and with my 7 5/8 hat size head there's still more adjustable unlike the Petzl. The Petzl is less comfortable. The Petzl has 3 settings but the low is usable but so dim it wouldn't work for reading. It might give better battery life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Scott from lightweight and cheap; a great backup This thing isn't great compared to some of my other headlamps like the Storm. However, at the price and weight, it is a great back up. It's battery life is weak though. Runs out super quickly even though it isn't that bright. It also doesn't have the red setting like many of the other BD lights.
