Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket!!!! I'm a skier, live at a mountain pass at 3000' in the Cascades and ski in/out of bounds most days. I layer with a shirt, a fleece, then this jacket, and finally my water proof layer. I'm really impressed with this hoody. It's just the right amount of warmth, wind proof, and very water resistant. Most days when snowing, I never get to my water proof layer, even with higher winds driving the snow. I've been in snow rain mix and didn't get wet after a couple hours of skiing. The hood is generous for helmets, the pockets are large. The only thing I would like to see is a exterior chest pocket. Highly recommend this jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearly perfect 3-season belay hoody I've been looking everywhere for a 3-season belay hoody, and it has bee surprisingly hard to find all the right features on the same, light, packable, jacket. BD got this one right, right down to putting the chest pocket inside the jacket, and excluding draw-strings. My only complaint is the cut, and sizing. I'm 6'1" and 185lbs with an athletic build. I'm a medium in most Athletic-cut jackets, with some room for a few layers, but in straiter-cut jackets, like the Access Hoody, A medium is too tight in the chest and lat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect lightweight puffy For those curious, this is pretty comparable in warmth and packability to a Patagonia Nano Puff Hoody, and is actually a touch lighter. This jacket is an enormous improvement over the old version with softshell underarm panels, called the Access Hybrid. There are some breathable panels under the arms still, but I don't notice any loss of warmth like before. It's warm, is fairly form-fitting, and packs into its own pocket and clips to your harness. What's not to like?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Light Down I had a hole in my gear list. Climbed Rainier in cold/windy summer conditions, Baker in the same. Needed a solid, light down for warm at altitude in moderate temperatures. I bought this jacket to get free shipping, was not expecting much. I couldn't be happier with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good, feels good I'm a climber in Northwest Montana, and the cliche is real when people say "If you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes." It's kept me warm in temps dipping around 30 degrees F, and with the stretchy arm pits I can still session/warm up with it on. I tend to not treat my gear very well; throw it on the ground, bush whacking, etc. And so far it's holding up to the test!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from At 65 degrees, in sweat pants, it's very warm. It is very light. The insulation is one piece sewn in place throughout the garment, or something like that. The garment is very light and packs in it's own hood smaller than a nerf spiral mini-football. It is very warm. Basically, too warm for long pants and 65 degree weather. I suppose if you went on a severe diet, you would always be warm enough. It's like an outer flannel or corduroy jacket almost, in terms of thickness. It's very thin. There's no waist cinches. It's ok though. It fits fine. The hood has no hood-cinches is the only bad point. The hood bounces and it's not out of my eyes, per se. The hood on the Stance Belay Parka could double for the visor on a motorcycle helmet. This one, you could make the similar joke, but it stays up above the eyebrows. I feel like they're joking that I bought the sale item or the cheap-end item and if I wanted full features, I should have bought the more expensive item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great puffy I really like this jacket. It works in a very wide range of temps , I've been nice and toasty in the mid 20s and still comfy up into 60s (Fahrenheit). The jacket does a good job of blocking out wind but still breathing well to keep me from overheating during heavy activity. I like the fit I'm 5'10" 186lb and the large fits nicely with room to layer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect layer Bought it last year in May. Fit is perfect. Use it as a midlayer thermo fleece the jacked and then a shell. Only sad that the branding is fallen apart. Now i have a bl k iam nd jacket. Looks very stupid. Other than that, the jacket is perfect for me
