Rated 5 out of 5 by JackD from Durable Warm Gloves with some dexterity I love these gloves. They are warm like mitts yet with the free-finger design which allows simple tasks like pulling zippers or tying knots. Use the included waterproofing on the leather and they'll keep you dry in the wettest of snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cking553 from Kept me little girl fingers warm I normally get cold very easily (nickname is shaking chihuahua). When watching the weather on a climb in Mexico (Pico de Orizaba), the temps kept getting lower and lower. Before I left, I ordered a pair of the these gloves. I loved them! We woke at 1:00 AM for a 9 hour summit push. My fingers began to sweat a little in the gloves, but never got cold. I opted for the finger gloves in case I needed to slide a hand warmer down in the wider portion. Never needed to. The temps did dip down into the low teens (F). There were a little tough using the ice axe, but I would expect that due to the mitt-like design. I had a pair of the Punisher gloves for the lower portion of the mountain, and those were easier to use with carabiners/ice axes/etc. All in all...awesome glove!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dave from Great gloves Great gloves. Super warm and also high dexterity. I will use these with an ascender on fixed ropes on an 8,000 meter peak. Also Incredibly well made. Highly recommended vs mitts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Waynead from Warmest gloves This is my second pair, the first lasted at least 10 years. They have developed cold spots from the insulation compressing and wearing. I don’t find this as a fault, they’ve seen a lot of hard use and are still fine for all but the coldest days. That’s why I got the new ones. I think the insulation is improved. I have very cold hands (Reynaud syndrome) and these gloves work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Charles from The best! The guide series of gloves and mittens is the best I’ve tried. I had the gloves first and purchased these for extremely cold days. They are very warm. The dexterity is good, and the quality is second to none. I would buy them again without hesitation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by John from Poor quality glove, excellent customer service I bought these a month ago because I'm a Floridian now living in northern Michigan and needed something to keep my hands dry and warm. As far as warmth goes, these gloves take the cake! Super warm and comfortable with great dexterity. However, after only a week of standard use (e.g., playing in the snow with my kids, shoveling snow off the roof, snowblowing the driveway, etc.), I noticed the leather on the palms starting to wear thin and the bright yellow hue slowly became a dark leather hue indicated water intrusion. I took out the liner and made the outer glove shell inside out only to validate my suspicion. I called Customer Service and they were outstanding and offered me a refund with no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Paulie from Warm , Comfy, Durable, what more do you want What do you do when you have worn out some of the best guide gloves you have come across? You buy new ones. Some improvements on the new ones is the thumb is now all leather. There is a drawstring to close them off. It also needs to be said that you will need to buy them a size up. I wear a medium and a large is the perfect fit Here is the review for the first pair years ago that still applies: I won't write a review unless I have had a product for a least a year. After four years of these being my primary digit protection for guiding, skiing, snowshoeing they're still going strong. You will need to waterproof these yearly. The double leather reinforced palms and thumb hold up well Also wash the liners regularly because your hands will sweat. The sheep wool in the liners works very well. The removable liners allows you to dry them quickly. I find these much warmer that the Guide Glove that I bought for my son. They are not as bulky as they look. If you buy them large you can fit thin liners inside or hand warmers for those -35° days.
