Rated 5 out of 5 by Murdo from Warm, Waterproof, & Very Solid I've had a Fitzroy for years and it's still going strong. It's kept me dry in torrential rain, heavy snow, and poorly considered camp locations (the bathtub feature is bomber). It was even blown a couple hundred yards through high desert bush and survived. I also recommend getting the vestibule, though I wish it were permanently attached. My only gripe is with the high level of condensation when the tent is sealed up (my solution has been to vent the doors and keep t-shirts at the foot to absorb pooled water). Maybe the tod-tex has degraded as I don't have this problem with my Big Wall Bivy...which I recommend even more highly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dr Ricardo from Survived Aconcagua Winds Bought the Bibler several years ago and it is still doing great. Just returned from Aconcagua where ave temps on the mtn were -20 with winds 80 mph. One night a raging storm had a team of Moldovans completely cleaning the snow and ice filled refugios for shelter and offering to make room for me (Thank you again guys!!) the tent had no problem and I enjoyed a good nights sleep at around 21,000 ft. It kept me warm, dry, and sheltered in every condition during 3 weeks on the mountain in every condition. Never had a problem or a concern.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Katherine from Best Tent Ever! We love this tent. It is great for all 4 seasons. Light enough to backpack. Easy to set up and take down. We never have any breathability problem and it is a comfortable fit for 2. When the kids were smaller we even had all four of us in the tent! Now that they are 11 & 13, we have a Fitzroy for them, and one for us. We have been using the Bibler Fitzroy since 1997, and it has never let us down. We have camped in the snow, rain, wind, and sun. On one trip, the winds were so fierce they flattened every other tent, but our Fitzroy didn't budge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Paul from It's the Shizz for Expeditioneering I bought this tent years ago, when it was still a Bibler product, in preparation for a trip to Denali. It has rocked in the Colorado winter back country, and it was a flawless performer in Alaska. I bought the vestibule so that we could run a stove "indoors," but outside of the tent proper. The vestibule is also a great place to stow boot shells and a stuff bag of snow for making water. This tent is small enough for tight tent sites or platforms, but big enough for a team of 2 to spend weeks out there without having to elbow each other every time you need to scratch an itch. The velcro fasteners that fix the poles to the inside of the tent started to pull off the tent walls several years ago, and BD replaced them without a question. Great product; great support from BD. I like it so much that i bought its big sibling, the Bomb Shelter, for maximum comfort in the beautiful harsh high country.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Michael from Bomb proof I've used this tent for hunting in the Brooks and Alaska Range. It has with stood a 60mph storm, torrential rain and a 12" spring dump of heavy, wet snow. Wind that flattens lesser tents doesn't even make this one rattle. There are lighter options available- but nothing this stable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Billy from Relatively light for a 4 season tent and did the job under some cold conditions Took it up mt rainier in June on its maiden voyage and the fitzroy sheltered two of us nicely including some of our gear. Temperatures were below freezing at camp muir and woke up to a light snow on summit day. The tent kept us warm and dry. Tent stakes didn't offer much with the snowpack but our trekking poles, ice axes and pickets substituted well while we slept.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Roberto from Stable, Dry, and Easy to setup at 60 MPG winds Recently used in northern most land spot in Iceland for two weeks. Heavy rains, 60+ MPH winds, -5C temperatures, and sandy conditions. Not a single problem. Stake down points are ideal. Zippers worked flawlessly. One tent pole cracked on the arc pole, but it is easily replace. Tent is stable and has not let me down! Next stop: Hammerfest Norway Coast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KelliS from Perfect for winter expeditions! THIs tent is everything I need it to be. I bought the vestibule with it and it adds the extra protection for my gear I don’t want in my tent. It’s not too heavy and holds up with heavy snow and high winds. Highly recommend.
