Rated 4 out of 5 by Mike from Quick reponse and good range I alternate between this beacon and a Mammut Barryvox. The range on the Mammut is hard to beat but I think the Pieps DSP Sport actually responds to changing distance quicker. The remaining battery reading could be more precise, but otherwise no complaints, great beacon!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Hasbro72 from Lacks durability and service. While easy to use my unit stopped working after 3 seasons of moderate use ie 30 days a season. Trying to find someone to send it to for trouble shooting was like going down a rabbit hole and ending up in Europe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mwilliams from Have had to replace 4 times with the warranty The plastic bit on the body that holds the leash has broken on three different devices for me. The screen also stopped working for me in the middle of a tour. I'm now on my 4th device, as the warranty office has been super great about replacing them but I'd be hard pressed to recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Higinio from Simple and functional! I bought this beacon a few weeks ago to teach avalanche safety to friends and family. I like it a lot because it is simple to use and very reliable. I also have the DSP Pro, that I use to guide and tour recreationally. I Think the DSP Sport is an excellent beacon for people who tour recreationally and want to become proficient in snow safety.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Har Rai from Reliable, intuitive features. Solid beacon! We've been using these for the ski patrol, and they are my top choice for a digital 3-antennae beacon with a flagging function. Everything you need, nothing that you don't. Doesn't require frequent calibration like another more complex becaon that I own, and seems to have very few spikes and pauses when searching. It's great for the beginner and pro alike. I have both the Pro and Sport, and I like them both. It's nice being able to read slop angle with the Pro, and I hope that the TX600 comes back in stock so that I can get one on my pup, but otherwise the Sport is nearly as good and should be a great beacon for anyone.
