Rated 3 out of 5 by Zac Attack from Overall pretty solid I like the general concept of the backpack but I'm always a little disappointed when something breaks the first week I own it. There is a guide loop where the string is that you pull to close the backpack. On my third day using the pack, that guide loop ripped right out. it's not a crucial component to the backpacks function but I always hold Black Diamond to a higher standard given that I use their gear most of the time to keep me alive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kilometers from Great lightweight pack Great lightweight climbing bag. Fits a ton when packed well, and still carries well. Ice axe attachments are great and appear durable. The upper velcro loops are an improvement from previous BD packs in terms of durability. Was able to fit a pair of Cobra's & Nomic's in the axe attachment point's with the help of a ski strap- should work with any tool combo. Used in desert multipitch climbing as well and works great on big and small frames (partner too), lightweight simplistic design doesn't add unwanted bulk in the larger capacity. Small holes developing on base of pack after a month or two of heavy use. Not surprising given the weight and price. Pockets, both internal and external) are very good and stay out of the way if you don't want them. Rope strap works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick from Awesome simple climbing pack. I was stoked to get my hands on the Blitz 28. Simple, light and the perfect size. The minimal design is exactly what I wanted in an alpine pack. This thing can fit all you need for light and fast days in the alpine. The simplicity of this pack is what makes it special (thus, I'm reluctant to say) the only tweak I would consider making to this pack would be the addition of compression straps on the sides for when the rack is out and layers are on, or for an a-frame ski carry. I don't think that takes away from this pack though, as it is an alpine climbing pack, not a ski pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jaron from Light, durable, compact This pack is extremely light and is designed well enough that I can use it as a day pack on multi day Climbing trips. The bag is durable and seems to hold well to poor weather. Front pocket is lager enough for my phone, wallet and keys. I was hesitant at first about the very thin waist band and how it would feel packed with all my grad gear. It was surprisingly comfortable. Excellent pack overall. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mat Anchorage Avalanche from Great alpine pack! Simple, solid, functional pack for alpine missions (or anytime you'd want a simple, lightweight pack). Streamlined design and no frills. Haven't used it that much yet, but would expect it to still be a stout pack that lasts for years based on my experience with it's slightly beefier cousin that I've put through the wringer for years and is still going strong: the Speed 40.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SamRoot from Awesome on-route pack! I've been looking for this kind of pack for a while. It's so lightweight you hardly notice it and fits nice and snug. Perfect for long multi pitch routes.
