First Light Hybrid Hoody is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Its a hoodie, that falls apart Got this about 3 months ago, and the troubles were already apparent when it arrived. The cloth near the pockets already seemed to be falling apart. Thought nothing of it. Now its just gotten worse, many of the seems and hems are starting to fall apart. The hoodie also seemed to stretch a ton since the beginning and now it's very baggy on me. I wasn't using it that often, once a week on average. Seems like a common theme looking at the other reviews that some are not made very well. Expected more. Tried to contact customer service about it, waited 3 weeks, sent another email, waited another week and have heard nothing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Technical fashion I own two of these, I use them to warm up in the gym, to wear around, or spring/fall climbs. Lightweight and surprisingly sturdy for the material. I've jammed my whole arm into off-width granite and come out with no issues. I did catch a snag on some sharp lichen that put a hole in the shoulder of my one while squeezing through boulders, but under normal climbing it holds up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor construction I love the look and performance of this jacket but it’s obvious that it was cheaply made. The stitching on the hem around the waist had loose threads from day one and has progressively gotten worse developing holes or gaps between the hem and jacket fabric. Could be an isolated issue, but it’s dissapointing nonetheless. I’ve enjoyed and appreciated it as a mid layer otherwise, but a mid layer jacket that costs this much should be bomber in my opinion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost the perfect up jacket The chest pocket sits very weird if you put anything of weight in it, the previous version of this jacket had better chest pockets. Fits on the big side. I’m 6’2” 220 lbs and the XL is a little sloppy. I have tried up jackets from most of the other major brands, nothing breaths as well and keeps you as warm. Very rarely put my shell on, just wear this jacket up and down.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great, except for sleeve length I ordered the large since the size chart describes medium and large having the exact same sleeve lengths (34 in.) and I wanted a little extra room around the torso. The large's sleeves extend past my fingertips, so long I can't wear this without looking ridiculous. I've since tried on a medium, the sleeves land right around my wrist, so not exactly the same length as a large... like at all. Keep this in mind if you normally size up for a looser fit, should really be noted somewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-around jacket Love it. I wear it to work, out climbing, or out to drinks with friends. Keeps me warm when it’s cold and rhe perfect temp when it’s less cold. Sheds water well on the front and top too. Also the red color is great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killer Touring Jacket!! This piece is a must have in your collection... It's like the First Lite Hoody but for warmer, dryer days. I absolutely love the way the hood fits. It's not adjustable for a reason. When you need some warmth, throw the hood on and zip 'er up. It's like having a beanie on that can cover most of your head. The First Lite Hoody (not the hybrid) is amazing but doesn't breathe like the hybrid does. This doesn't have as much insulation but it breathes like a dream and keeps you dry for the most part. You don't want to wear this on a day when it's dumping or raining, but if its a light amount of moisture you should be golden. I'm a BD advocate and this is a big time piece in my collection. BD makes incredible gear and stands behind it. Not cheap but definitely worth it. Buy nice, not twice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right I’m 5’10” 180 and the large fits great with a t or base layer and a light fleece. It layers nicely under a shell or puffy. It’s easy to wash, breathes well and the hood fits just right (won’t fit over a helmet). After the first washing/drying the merino shrunk a little, but quickly re-shaped to the original size after wearing it.
