DescriptionThe Black Diamond ReVolt is a powerful, versatile and rechargeable headlamp that has now been fully redesigned to be completely waterproof, making it adaptable for any nighttime mission. With 300 lumens of power, the ReVolt easily spots anchors while you rappel in the dark, proximity lighting gives you a large area of light for hiking down the trail and Brightness Memory gives you the option to set the light's brightness when first turned on. A three-level power meter keeps you from ever being surprised by dead batteries, and the ReVolt can run on standard AAA batteries in addition to the included rechargeable batteries.
- One TriplePower LED and 1 DoublePower LED can combine to emit up to 300 lumens (max setting with alkaline batteries)
- One DoublePower Red LED for night vision has proximity and strobe settings, and activates without cycling through the white mode
- Sleek, low-profile design uses three Black Diamond AAA Rechargeable Batteries or standard alkaline or lithium batteries
- Brightness Memory allows you to turn the light on and off at a chosen brightness without reverting back to full power
- Settings include full strength in proximity and distance modes, dimming, strobe, red night-vision and lock mode
- Three-level power meter shows remaining battery life for three seconds after switching on headlamp
- IPX8: Waterproof-Tested to operate up to 1.1 meters underwater for 30 minutes. If submerged, water may enter the battery compartment and it will still operate, and it should be dried out completely afterwards.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Matt from Great light, BD’s batteries are the weak link I had a BD Spot that was stolen and loved it but wanted a rechargable headlamp. After some minimal use the headlamp refused to charge due to fualty batteries. BD replaced the headlamp under warranty because BD rocks. After researching the batteries I found a hack that lets you use any NiMH battery. BD’s only have 1000ma capacity. Energizer rechargable AAA, the green ones have 2000ma capacity. You can buy them and strip the foil down with a razor on the lower portion of the negative end of the battery allowing the recharging contact points to make contact with the battery. It works and it doubles the energy capacity of the light for less than the BD batteries cost. BD needs to update its batteries to keep up with the times. This is basically a rechargable spot and an awesome light for proximity lighting around camp, emergency use, and light use. For heavy use and lots of hiking I like a bit brighter of a light so I can see further for animals and such. However I carry both because the big light (Petzl Nao+) is too much for reading and cooking and such. This is my back up, emergency, around camp light and it is great at it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pierre from It needs a USB-C port The time to sell micro-USB products is over. All the new USB wall chargers, power banks and smartphone come with a USB-C port... Please update the next edition with a USB-C port (and please update the product description to say which type of USB port it has)...

Rated 4 out of 5 by USMA1976 from ReVolt Headlamp Rocks! This headlamp works great. It's super bright and I like that it is rechargeable. I only have 2 small dings that kept it from being a 5. It should support use of any rechargeable AAA's and not be limited to Black Diamond's batteries. I already have plenty of batteries on hand and I shouldn't need to buy another set. The other thing is the rubber door covering the charging port could be improved. It takes several tries to get it seated properly. Other than that, this is a great light. I wouldn't hesitate to get this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by dawyndham from Great idea, poorly executed I have three of these, and all three suffer the same issue. They quickly fail to recognise the rechargeable batteries, and will not work with other brands of NiMH cells. A great idea let down by poor decisions around how the light recognises that it has rechargeable batteries in it. It would be much better if they just made it work with all NiMH cells and removed the USB port so nobody tried to charge Alkalines.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JCNH from One good and one bad We just bought 2 of these headlamps, and one seems to charge and work as advertised, and the other does not. Both were unpackaged, and processed at the same time, and in the same way. The directions were followed, and they were attached to the same computer, and to side by side ports that are the same. We even drained them both, and recharged them. Again the same outcome. Have not compared run time yet, but the charging time is frustrating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JKrav from Failed 3x+ I bought this about a year ago and I have to say I would not have purchased this or recommend it. First of all... If it gets anywhere near 32F, this light will shutdown. It shutdown on me on a 35-40F night. Secondly, when using the NiMH batteries, you gett literally 1/5 the claimed runtime and output. (30hrs @300lumen vs. 6hrs @175 lumen... What a joke!) Finally, this faulty light kept failing on me night after night. Whether it was the bad battery or light draining my batteries spontaneously or turning off when it got cold.... U name it. You can't trust this light in your gear quiver, cause most of the time it turns into a heavy paperweight.
