Rated 5 out of 5 by Daniel from Great multi-purpose layer. I like that this is warm enough when the temps are questionable but also not so heat trapping (hot) that it becomes a nuisance. Hard to explain...I just like this thing a lot. Super low profile, doesn't get in the way or feel like I'm weighing a hat under the helmet or covering my face. Used it approaching, ice climbing, and skiing...as low as -10F and I'm very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick from Great under a helmet... I have been using this for most of the season. I have a Smith helmet and I find it isn't warm enough for the -30C days up here at Lake Louise. This balaclava fits great under my helmet and takes the edge off the ears/face on the crazy cold days. I also had this with me in Japan, works great for powder days as well. It keeps your face warm after repeated faceshots :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Christopher from Low Profile Great for Skiing and Climbing At first I thought that the BD Balaclava was going to be to thin to keep me warm on the cold Colorado slopes, but I was surprised. It is breathable but maintains a great insulation profile that will keep you warm under a helmet when exerting yourself and when just standing around. By far the best low profile balaclava out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kendall from Great under a helmet! Good fit under any helmet, decent neck coverage, nice stretchy material that won't flap in the wind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by konrad from I like this balaclava fits well under my helmet, light and a great backup insulation layer to stash in my jacket pocket
