Description
Taking freeride performance to the backcountry has never been easier. With an XL brake that is optimized for fat skis up to 120 mm in the waist, the Fritschi Freeride Pro combines the wide-bodied power transmission of an alpine binding with Fritschi's new Gliding Technology for a smooth, natural stride. On the skin track, Gliding Technology eases your ascent by eliminating that hinge-like, tiptoe feeling. The Freeride Pro's wide footprint and toepiece hinge provide a larger footprint than previous Fritschi bindings, giving you improved power to drive powerful, wide-bodied skis. Performance, meet efficiency.
- Gliding Technology with a wide toe piece hinge
- Power Transmission Control (PTC) technology
- Max DIN 12, and DIN certified for both AT and alpine boot soles
- Four-level heel elevator
- Free-gliding heel bar with integrated lock prevents accidental release into tour mode
- Included brake fits up to 120 mm ski width
- S: 260-315 mm
- M: 285-340 mm
- L: 330-365 mm

Solid Binding
I've used this binding a few times now and it is a very solid piece. Great power transfer and no play anywhere in the binding. Some people have noted how they feel much higher off the ski with this binding compared with others, but I did not notice that. All around solid construction except the boot release piece. I use my ski pole to release my boot and there is a bunch of divots in the piece. It seems like the plastic used is a little cheap in this part. Highly recommended for those who want to ski backcountry but also like taking the lifts every once in a while.

My favorite AT binding
The trusty Fritschi is still my favorite AT binding. The Freeride Pro model gives excellent edge control with 110mm waist skis and stiff boots. It still has the easiest and most dependable on-the-fly heel riser adjustment, and the easiest mode switch. Durability is high, with far fewer problems than we see with other brands, and none of the fussiness of tech bindings. The height off the ski gives optimal edging on fat skis, functioning like racers' riser plates.

perfectly functions as intended
I have multiple sets of this frame binding on different skis. It's not the weightlessness of a tech pin binding but much easier to use and, for me, a better choice to serve both resort and BC needs. Zero complaints. Except maybe the price, and to that you have to just survey the market and appreciate the results. As one who also has traditional alpine bindings, I can say the difference between an Atomic Warden and the Freeride Pro on resort-based skiing is negligible in my experience.

Easy to use.
I mixed this binding with the Black D Amperage and I'have no regrets about my choice!
