Rated 5 out of 5 by Katherine from Cozy warmth! These are great for extreme cold, especially if there are periods of inactivity. The liner is plush and cozy. Mine have lasted long time - I have had my first pair for over 6 years, and they have held up to ski edges, rocks, ice, and anything else winter throws at it. The inner "lobster claw" of the liner helps hold on to poles and ice axes for a bit better dexterity than full on mittens. My fiance has the men's pair as well. Every once in a while we put the liners in the wash to keep them fresh (these will make your hands sweat). We absolutely love them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by DRC_403 from So far so good! I'm a guy with pretty small hands and the men's small was too big, but the xs was too small. The women's small fit perfectly. I've taken it out a few times when it's -35'c in Western Canada on ski hills (Snow is usually dry crud), and so far it's been really good. The mitt is warm enough that my hands don't get chilly on 10min lifts but they don't overheat once I start moving. Trigger finger is really nice for pulling up zippers and putting on snowboard bindings. The removable liner is something new to me, and I really like it. Can't attest to the waterproofing yet though. My only complaint is that I wish the gauntlet on the mitt were 1 inch longer. I find that going through powder or after falling, the snow somehow makes it's way in around my wrists. Great buy for anyone looking for a all around mitt, I just hope that they don't pack out quickly!

Rated 2 out of 5 by kthompso from Bring back the old ones! The liners in these mitts feel like you've wrapped your hand in a dreadlocked poodle. The outer shell on the back of the hand does not seem like it would be durable if you were to brush up against something (like a tree, or a ski edge). Bring back the old ones that were a durable shell material and soft on the inside - those were amazing, and so much more comfortable. I cannot comment on the warmth of this generation, but the previous model was incredibly warm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Catski from Great at first but.... I bought this mitts one year ago. I use them to downhill ski. I have skied 41 days winter 2016-2017 and 10 days so far for the winter of 2017-2018. So in total I have wore them 51 days (let's an average of 5 hours a day). My beautiful mitts are very cold now because the inside of the hands is all packed out now. Completely, you can feel your fingers through the black leather. I am very disappointed, I would have think they would have last longer. I now have to wear a smaller mitt or gloves inside. P.S. the average temperature at our ressort is -5! :-(

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ali from Fit extremely small I measured my hand according to the guidelines, and found myself at 7", the middle of the small size, which I felt was weird since I usually wear a size large in women's gloves. I went with my measurement and ordered a size small, but sure enough, when they arrived it was difficult to even wedge my hand into the mittens, and the gap between the "thumb crotch" and my actual hand was quite large. As for the quality, the mittens seemed very well-built and warm, and I'll be exchanging these for a larger size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jenn from Good for people with cold hands I have perpetually cold hands and even when I cross country ski, my hands are freezing. These mittens have worked well keeping my hands warm down to about 25 degrees F. Under that, I add a handwarmer, for which there is plenty of room. The only time I wasn't able to keep my hands warm with these gloves + a handwarmer was one night when I was skiing in 15 degree weather, but I had trouble keeping the rest of me warm that night, too.
