Rated 4 out of 5 by hikertrash from Nearly Perfect Day Pack I bought this backpack because it was listed as one of the best backcountry packs on Outdoor Research and am not regretting it. It is a wonderful day trip backpack. One thing that seemed a bit strange was that the zippered pocket on the right shoulder strap where you can feed a water bladder tube through zips from the top and not the bottom. This means that the pocket has to hang open when I want access to my water bladder tube. A small thing but being able to zip the pocket nearly shut would give the pack a cleaner look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Crest from Nice and tighty pack! I take this pack on the days when I can go light. This pack has all features you can possible ask for, from ski attachments to helmet carrier, and all these attachments stash away neatly and disappear from view or snagging when not in use. Storage is minimal, but it fits the necessities plus the emergencies just fine. This simple looking pack is actually quite versatile, as it has 2 methods to attach skis, takes 2 ice tools if needed and probably the best feature, the helmet carrier that holds the helmet securely on the outside of the pack versus it taking up tons of space inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dbenedon from The perfect pack I recently bought this pack for my wife and myself. We used the pack on an all day backcountry tour and it was perfect. Easy to adjust and comfortable even when fully packed. Large enough to carry everything we needed for an all day tour including shovel, probe, extra clothing, water, and food. All the pockets are very accessible. The pack was well balanced for skiing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trace from The Quinessential Day Pack I hope BD makes this pack forever. It is the ideal balance of features and weight. I’ve used mine for over 300 days before the shoulder strap broke... but that was because I nicked with my ski edge. Whatever, I’m buying the exact same one again. I take it day touring, overpack it and throw a sleeping bag on the outside and use for a few nights at the yurt (I have the 25L), pull a basecamp sled and use it to day tour, or wear it in the resort where it can be underpacked and cinched down, giving a nice low profile. It is THE perfect pack!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lewis from Great day touring pack Works great for European day touring - just the right size for essentials, good ski and helmet carry systems. The sack feels light, close fitting and stable and seems well made. A small pocket on one hip belt would be nice to have, but its easy to slide a separate one onto the webbing if really needed. So many day touring packs are over spec'ed or too heavy - getting on really well with the Dawn Patrol 25 so far

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jeck from Have used this patrolling and love it Great backpack with room for avy gear and some layers/supplies. Tough to fit extra layers/gloves, food and water, and all first aid gear. I would go to the larger bag for all that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SnowPro from Awesome pack for quick trips to the back country This pack provides a great lightweight option when I just need to carry an extra layer and some snacks. The separate pocket for my avy gear is also great to keep everything organized. I highly recommend this pack for anyone looking for a lightweight option.
