Rated 5 out of 5 by David from Perfect for a single day of ski touring We bought a couple of these packs to provide for clients while doing single day ski tours in the Alps. They are certainly lightweight and the form-fitting design allows the pack to stay close to the skier's body - preventing it from swaying back and forth. We personally like the side straps for carrying the skis in an 'A-frame' style and we found the back attachments can easily accommodate an ice axe or a single ski pole. We personally think 25 liters is an efficient size. There's ample space for the necessary gear (shovel, probe, climbing skins, an extra layer, and some food and water), but some clients seemed to think it was a bit of a tight fit. Of course, overpacking could certainly have been an issue. In the end, we feel that the Dawn Patrol 25 Packs are perfect for a single day of ski touring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chris from Great Functional Day Pack I use this pack for a day at the resort, it'll hold a flat water bottle, and an extra clothing layer. It would also work for a short backcountry day, as it can hold the avalanche gear too, in a separate pocket. There's a separate goggle pocket up top, nice. Skis can be carried diagonally, which I've done, didn't know I was carrying anything. Fit is great, back hugging and unobtrusive. There's a built in helmet tote net which stows away. Small for longer trips where you'd need more clothing. Zips can get a bit consfusing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris from Perfect for a daily ski pack I've used mine for about 100 days of skiing so far. Love this pack. It has all the necessary features (back panel access, dedicated snow tools pocket, quick diagonal carry) and nothing it doesn't. It still looks like it did when I took it out of the box. I have what I take pretty dialed and the pack is rather full, so if you're a "bring everything" type, I'd go for the 32 instead of the 25.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trace from The Quinessential Day Pack I hope BD makes this pack forever. It is the ideal balance of features and weight. I’ve used mine for over 300 days before the shoulder strap broke... but that was because I nicked with my ski edge. Whatever, I’m buying the exact same one again. I take it day touring, overpack it and throw a sleeping bag on the outside and use for a few nights at the yurt (I have the 25L), pull a basecamp sled and use it to day tour, or wear it in the resort where it can be underpacked and cinched down, giving a nice low profile. It is THE perfect pack!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ski Patrol Noah from Great pack! Bought this pack for ski and general use. Fits well, and has a nice look to it. I did not want an avalung addition (northeast user) and its still a good pack. The pockets and their organization were a little non-intuitive (large opening is directly against the back) and could use some refinement in future versions, but are not a deal-breaker in the current pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lewis from Great day touring pack Works great for European day touring - just the right size for essentials, good ski and helmet carry systems. The sack feels light, close fitting and stable and seems well made. A small pocket on one hip belt would be nice to have, but its easy to slide a separate one onto the webbing if really needed. So many day touring packs are over spec'ed or too heavy - getting on really well with the Dawn Patrol 25 so far

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pwdrski from Excellent Patrol pack. Excellent product. I use it everyday I'm on Pro Patrol, when I'm not using may Avalanche Control bomb and air bag pack. The size at 25 liters is perfect, I can carry just the gear I need for the day, and like the dedicated shovel/probe sleeve. Light weight very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SnowPro from Awesome pack for quick trips to the back country This pack provides a great lightweight option when I just need to carry an extra layer and some snacks. The separate pocket for my avy gear is also great to keep everything organized. I highly recommend this pack for anyone looking for a lightweight option.
