Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to get it on Impossible to get it on the pole as it is too tight. Even pliers did not help.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plastic fantastic! These always make me worry, but I have to admit that only one has failed (it was the threaded metal part). I am not sure why the (crimped) size is off sometimes. Perhaps it is a bit of wear on the inner/outer diameters of the aluminum shafts' mating surfaces. What I do in the event I find a replacement (or spare) plastic flicklock fitting loose (when clamped) is to take the lever and hardware off the main plastic molding and carefully shave off a millimeter of plastic (at a time) from the flat mating surface of the INSIDE block (the part that is pinched between the lever and the outer block where the screw-head is. It is preferable to do that using a vise and a dremel-tool or else a bandsaw. Careful (easy does it) clearancing of the INNER block between 1~2mm has always been enough to restore the flicklock's intended function. After that, the flicklock works as it should. In the off-season, and between outings (when I remember), I relax the flicklock lever and then crimp the pole-sleeve just enough to keep the lower shaft from falling out under its own weight (I store my poles hanging from the whippets. Flicklocks work better that anything else, they're patented, …but they're still plastic.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from wrong size I had been pretty impressed with the ease of Black Diamond's web site for looking up what flip-locks I needed to order to get an old pair of trekking poles back in working condition - until I received my replacement flip-locks and discovered that they're not the right size after all. Poles kept collapsing during my backpack trip and now I have to re-order the right size and re-install, argh.
