Rated 1 out of 5 by Sam from Nice thought, poor execution. A folding snow saw is a GREAT idea for many reasons. Unfortunately Black Diamond failed to design the saw so it will fit into any of their carbon pole offerings. I'm really confused why they would design a saw that didn't work with the equipment they sell. Especially equipment like carbon adjustable poles, which a lot of backcountry skiers use...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brandon from Works as intended Had this saw for two seasons and it just now kicked the bucket last week. Great for use in pits. Helpful markings, nice pole attachment, and I like that you can change the angle of the saw. Only downsides I found are in the blade itself. is that I had to do some tree trimming to make a heli landing pad for an evac and now the blade it bent. I also noticed that sometimes the blade would flex and not cut it a straight line down. Aside from that, great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by hector from good overall It's been working pretty well, but the piece that locks the blade doesn't work well, it goes loose and the saw becomes useless, i need to readjust the saw multiple times while doing pits. specially with hard snow it becomes loose. Other aspect is that the handle is too long when need to cut in a tight space, I would prefer something shorter like the bonesaw, just so i can fit my hand and cut the backside of the column.

Rated 5 out of 5 by isabel from Good saw Fits nicely in my bag and cuts through snow just like I wanted it to. Haven't cut any ice with it yet, but it seems like it won't be a problem. Attaches very easily to my BD adjustable ski pole for sword fighting which is also an excellent feature.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Scott from Great saw! Except doesn't fit the carbon poles! It's a great design and light weight, but doesn't fit the pure carbon poles! All that's needed is one tiny adaptor piece, slightly different from the three it comes with - even if that were just offered a a separate additional accessory. Anyone at BD have a lathe? I'd love to recommend it to my friends, but they have the same BD carbon poles too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by CF421 from Near Perfect Have used this for all snow pack tests this year, works as intended. Very functional, light and folds, providing its own saw edge protection in the pack. Have used it in -16F ambient air temps with moderate winds and had no issues with the folding action. Only complaint would be there’s no adapter for carbon folding poles.

Rated 2 out of 5 by luckydave from pretty good The size and weight are good, durable. I like how it folds back into the handle making its own blade guard. Downsides are the lock ices up and blade folds backwards when sawing firm snow/ice. Blade needs to be a little more stout to bend less. I added a little e tape to make it fit snug in my pole upper. A couple tweaks to this saw and it will be great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Craig from so far good I worry that I will be tac welding a reinforcement on the back side of blade to to keep it from bowing sideways on hard stiff cuts. so far so good. love the over all design storage and fold out are great and not having to carry an extra piece to cover the blade is great. Also like the length of the blade
