Description

Designed with the needs of our pro athlete team in mind, perfect for seasoned mountain professionals, the Black Diamond Boundary Patrol 107 is a tuned-up, ripper that excels on big lines and mixed snow conditions with limited edition National Ski Patrol inspired graphics. Building on the playful soft-snow performance of the Boundary 107, the Boundary Patrol features an upgraded flat, solid-core construction for added torsional stiffness that not only makes for powerful skiing, but has the dampness and stability to hold its own when the soft conditions run out. Austrian-made with pre-preg fiberglass and a poplar wood core, the Boundary Patrol is a big-mountain freeride ski made for all conditions. These 2nd quality skis feature cosmetic flaws that in no way affect their performance; typically there is a blemish in the top sheet.

  • Versatile 107-mm waist handles a variety of conditions
  • Rockered tip and tail and traditional camber underfoot
  • Made in Austria with a pre-preg fiberglass layup and poplar core
  • Flat-top construction for increased power and torsional stiffness
  • Sidewall dampening system for reduced chatter in firm conditions
  • Optimal Use: 60% soft snow, 40% hard snow

Boundary Patrol 107 Ski - 2nd is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A joy to ski I have been a tele skier for thirty years now and over my three decades of deep knee bends I have seen an evolution in gear design and performance. Over time the skis have become lighter while the bindings have become more powerful and my experience has shown that this can lead to trouble with bindings pulling out of the ski after a few seasons use. Following my second binding separation I selected the Boundary Patrol 107. At 9 lbs this is a heavier ski compared to many backcountry boards, but with that added weight you have a ski that can manage the heavier, more powerful cable-free bindings that are now on the market. The Boundary Patrol 107 offers plenty of snap and drive in the turns and while they are 1.5 lbs heavier than the skis they replace, they are responsive, quick under foot and boy are they are a pleasure to ski. I find that they ask me to be a little more aggressive in my stance and in exchange they provide very good control on ice, push their way through crud, and are quick going from edge to edge when the snow is sweet. That said, these skis really excel in powder with the float that you expect from138-107-123. In short, the Boundary Patrol 107 performs very well in all skiing conditions, create big smiles in powder, and is a worthy addition to your quiver. Man these are fun skis. I am just under 6'0" and 198 lbs. I ski the 184.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber. Buy it. Bought this ski earlier this season. Only thing I could notice that would make it a “2nd” was a small indendation in the top of left ski (maaaybe the 2x size of a pen-point). Took this ski on East Coast hardpack/ice and bombed down the slopes no problem, laying side to side and even hitting jumps as well. I have a pair of Salomon Shift bindings on them and have used them to tour the Wasatch outside Salt Lake City for a week in variable conditions. They performed perfectly. They look badass as well. If you’re considering it, buy them. All your buddies will envy you.
