Nitro 26 Pack - 2017 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pack for day hikes Has all you need, I have the black which matches everything and looks sleek. Has the two front snack pockets, has the handy outside pocket in the back to stash your gloves & hat. I use a platypus wide mouth 3L bladder and that fits nicely. When I took the pack off on the summit, I could see moisture on the suspension and my back was not wet. Love the lines zipper compartment on the top for my eyeglasses and phone. No complaints except they should replica it and make a larger one for epic long winter hikes, I would buy it, this one is too small for dark to dark 14 hr winter multiple high peak hikes but is suited for a long or short day hike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect daypack If you're looking for the perfect hiking daypack, this is it. I got tired of cinching and uncinching the drawstring on my previous daypack so I traded it away and looked for a panel loader. I took a chance on the Nitro 26 because there were hardly any reviews when I bought it but I'm glad I did. Pros: When you first pick up the pack you know that it's made to last. The material feels bombproof. After numerous day hikes with the bag, it still looks as if I just took it straight out of the box. One of my favorite features of the pack is the suspension. It has a true internal frame instead of a framesheet. The reACTIV suspension is truly unique. If you do a lot of scrambling, you will notice it more. It moves with your body as you move. I love the attention to detail with this pack. The fleece lined top pocket is perfect for storing sunglasses/phones/etc. I didn't notice that feature until I received the bag, but it screams 'high quality.' Cons (very nitpicky): The placement of the top set of compression straps is a bit high and makes it hard to zip/unzip the main panel quickly, but this is very minor. The hydration pack sleeve is also a bit on the shallow side. My 3L reservoir sticks out the top a bit when filled to 2.5L, but this is not a major issue. Overall: A beautiful bag that is highly functional and fully featured without being 'overdesigned.' If you're on the fence, go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best day pack I have ever owned! I have 3 BD back packs, the Nitro 22, Nitro 26 and the Elixir 45. I first bought the Nitro 22 to replace my ski patrol pack and instantly fell in love with it! Light weight, clean design is key. I can fit all my first aid gear in the main compartment, head lamp and other necessities in the top pocket, leatherman in the hip pocket and the front easy access pocket is perfect when I need to store gear quickly. But what makes this pack so special is the harness system. The reACTIV suspension is responsive, easy to adjust and comfortable. The pivoting hip belt design allows freedom of movement without compromising balance, whether I am hiking or skiing. I liked my Niro 22 so much I bought the 26 for long day hikes and for work ( I am also an outdoor education teacher for an alternative education class). Hands down since I started hiking 33 years ago, this is the best daypack I have ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right Have been using mine for just over a year. Very comfortable and a perfect size for what I need. I like the external pocket and the way everything cinches down. I also think that the hip stabilizer is thoughtfully designed to not have a bulky buckle in the middle (it adjusts from either side). My only complaint so far is that the lightweight buckle has broken so I had to track down a replacement (which apparently you can't get from BD). Still, not enough of an issue to deduct a star.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect little all around pack! Great features! Does it all and more in a day pack! Fits under an airplane seat easily, with still enough capacity to carry everything you need. Multi-use! Buy one!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not enough features The pack just doesn't cut it for me. The frame doesn't give enough space between the pack and your back. My back was soaking wet after a day hike. I could have led with that but the lack of exterior storage compartments wasn't doing it for me. Don't like digging to the bottom of the pack to get something I've kept in outside compartments with other packs. Just not versatile enough for my needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Mountain Climbing Pack This pack has lots of space for a day of rock or ice climbing. I can fit my helmet, hardshell jacket, harness, plenty of water, etc. I've used it for mountain climbing in the Ecuadorean Andes and so far it has done a good job. The only thing that I would improve is a better mechanism to attach more firmly your trekking poles/ice axe at the top of the pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits perfectly While most buyers are likely climbing mountains and hiking the great outdoors, I put my pack into use carrying gear to work, but on the weekends I carry it in the woods, one of my favorite features - the side pockets for hiking poles, quick and easy to use, very well designed for ease of use and stability. I love this pack!
