Trail Ergo Cork Trekking Poles - 2018 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent. Took a real beating I bought these poles for an Oct hike in NH. I was on trails of granite slab and boulders a majority of the time and these stood up to a nasty beating. I hiked about 55 miles and these were with me all but 8 miles of that. They saved me from keeling over numerous times and are a little chewed up by the gnarly granite; but there are no bends or dents. Could these have bent? Sure; had they dropped in between some granite while I was moving wrong; or I could have slipped or moved the wrong way and while a pole sank down deep in some moss; but I was aware of this constantly and was careful. I couldn't ask more of these poles but perhaps to magically propel me up the mountains!! :-).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't plan to use rubber tip covers. These would easily get a 5 star review if not for the rubber tip covers constantly falling off. I'm on my 3rd set this year. I'll probably be buying new poles from a different manufacturer soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from strong and repairable I have owned a pair of ergo trail cork poles for quite a few years. Mostly used by my wife, they have served well. Recently I borrowed them because a pin had fallen out of the lock on my other (non BD) trekking poles. I am a heavy guy, at nearly 300#. During a stumble on a rocky section of trail, I put enough force on a pole to bend the lowest section. But it provided enough resistance to keep me from falling onto the rocks, and I was able to bend it straight enough to continue to use it for the rest of the trip. When I returned, I wanted to repair both sets of poles. No luck with repair parts for my other (REI) pole, but Black Diamond lists a pretty comprehensive set of repair parts for their poles, and I ordered a replacement lower section at a good price (>10x less than replacing the poles). They did not match in color, but fit just fine, and these old poles continue their useful life. My next set of poles will be Black Diamond!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and sturdy adjustments After few dozen miles using these on a couple day hikes, already extremely happy with them. Used them in snow/ice with a crazy Michigan spring and a week earlier was trekking on dry ground. Great in both environments and better then the ten year old sticks I had before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light & Easily Adjustable Love the cork handle. Not convinced about the ergo. At times, I like to put my palm on the top of my poles and push. The angle makes it feel like it will bend. They do swing nice. I love how light they are. I don't like the extended part of the handle as well as I did on my old pair of Trail Poles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whenever the snow is deep enough...... I've had these poles for about 2 years, and when there's enough snow and the wind calms down I'll put on the snowshoes and go. The poles stayed locked and made the up/downhill trekking more tolerable (I'm 70) in the two times I've used them. Wish I'd gotten them sooner. But, I did manage to lose one snow basket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great poles with only 1 con... These poles are exellent and ive owned multiple pairs over the years. The only thing to complain about is that i wish the sections were stronger (more bend resistant). Ive bent multiple shafts and had to buy replacements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great features The poles are sturdy and easy to adjust. The grip is always great and almost no slipping. this is my second set of these poles. I slipped and snapped one in half so I need to replace them and I am as happy as I was with the first ones. I got 7 years of hiking on the AT. trail with them.
