CONTROL SHOCK TECHNOLOGY

Offering damp and progressive 4-stage shock absorption, Control Shock Technology handles hard compressions without bottoming out and controls rebound for a smooth and comfortable feel.

Dampeners beneath the grip provide progressive spring rates from light strikes to heavy downhill plants. Rebound control located within the grip prevents ineffective and annoying pogo-ing for a smooth and quiet feel.

Trail Pro Shock Trekking Poles - Women's - 2018 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from They work as poles should but... They are okay. They do what trekking poles should do for the most part. The biggest problem is that they don't shrink down enough in size to fit comfortably in a travel suitcase which is an issue when traveling on smaller domestic carriers in Argentina and Chile. They are not allowed to be carried on so they MUST fit in a bag/suitcase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design and quality I have been admiring these poles for several years and finally got the opportunity to purchase them after my old poles failed to stay extended on a hike I took last month. They are comfortable to use and have easy to open hinges for adjusting the length.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic, but one question... These poles are really fantastic, I won't repeat all comments about design, advantages... But I don't understand this 'men' and 'women' BD therminology for poles according to length extended, in our case I'm 6'1" and use 'men' poles, and my wife 5'1" and does 'women' ones, but if were the opposite...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First treeking poles I was experiencing some knee pain while hiking and decided to try out treeking poles. I love them. They are easy to use and deffinitly help the knees. I take them with me everywhere just in case I decided to go on a hike last minute.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent poles I really like my black diamond poles. They're lightweight and quite dependable. I originally had the older version, non-shock - probably around 8 yrs old and they had a couple thousand miles on them and are great. They saved me numerous falls and on the last one, I bent the lower shaft - didn't realize it until I came to a level, clear spot. Blackdiamond was excellent about giving me support & telling me which shaft to replace (by the way - if you do that - get two - in case the lengths are different to your original poles), but also gave me a discount for replacement poles - so I thought I'd try these. I love both my older ones & these new ones. They're going to be around for several years - a KEY piece of my hiking equipment - I won't leave home without them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment I bought these trekking poles two years ago and they are still my favorite purchase. I've trekked hundreds of miles in the Sierra with these trusty poles. The shock absorption feature is a plus. Changing the length is simple and quick as is changing the tip and basket. Gave my friends a quick lesson and 5 of them bought the same poles. This year me and the black diamonds are conquering Mt Whitney.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Am I old? I first thought walking sticks for someone older. They were great hiking up to help with steps. It was a double workout for legs and arms. Then, coming down? Well, my knees were thankful. The next day, this old lady was ready to go!! No shame in these. Highly recommend. Why break your body when there are so many great places to hike and explore!!!
