20 Questions
Describe your climbing background:
I started climbing in 1998 in the Blue Mountains. Moved to England now and will stay here until I leave. Psyched for the Frankenjura.

Was there a big breakthrough or defining moment for you?
Climbing with my brother Lee, and seeing how much he pours himself into climbing and realising how much harder I could push myself and how fun climbing is, and how great it is to have something so great to do.

Describe a memorable climbing experience:
Walking over the hill on the walk up to Waldkopf in the Frankenjura and getting on Action Directe. So great.
Climbing a Directe start into Partion Shot, the famous Gritstone route in the dark with a headtorch

Any training advice or suggestions?
Experiment. Pull as hard as you can and realise how much weight can be taken by and how much power can be initiated by your legs.

Who or what inspires you?
Motivated people who push themselves and put everything into there climbing. Like Wolfgang Gullich and Yuji Hirayama and Dave Graham. Spanish Monsters and climbing on little things. The weight of eternal non-existence.

What do you think about the 5.15 grade?
Climbing that hard is crazy and so great.

Any near death experiences?
Only one really, leaning back on the abseil rope and realising I was on the wrong side of the rope and grabbing the other as quick as I could. But dying at Diamond Falls would have been good.

Are you a fan of climbing history? Explain?
I love it, its inspiring and makes you want to have your own advetures like the people in the stories and to do great stuff that seems crazy. Great grueling epic adventures, getting eaten by seals and sailing boats around Antarctica looking for gold.

What are your future plans or goals in climbing?
I would love to stay here in Europe for as long as I can and climb lots in the Frankenjura and in Spain and France. Competion climbers inspire me a lot so maybe it would be fun to do some, and big walls. Some great adventures, new routes dying in the hills.
