Describe
your favorite day climbing/skiing? Wake
up late in a tent under the trees, espresso and pancakes
then a swim in the lake or river. Warm up on some airy
classics then float your three day project first go.
Warm down by getting into your best crimpalene suit,
cracking a bottle of red and lighting a bonfire on
the beach.

Gagarin, Al Richie, Heavy Duty.

Training
techniques for climbing/skiing?
I
don't really train, sometimes I walk up a big hill
with a pack on, or go to a three-day dance party,
or have a lot of Red Bull® and chocolate before going
to the bouldering wall.
Goals
you have for the future? To
climb. All the time. Specifically, some first winter
ascents in the Southern Alps, and for summer, unclimbed
north faces in the Darran Mountains.
Describe
the perfect climb/ski trip? A
big friendly giant, shy at first, it tips its hat

you'll have to play your cards carefully. But when
the time is right the connection can be electrifying,
sensual, liberating and ecstatic.
What
is your favorite music?
Deep
electronic dub. Rhythm and Sound, Richie Hawtin,
Plastikman, Pitch Black, Sascha Funke, Trentemoller...
