Rated 5 out of 5 by from So slick! I haven't used this in anger (IE: falling) but have for some extra security on the up; I will say that BD making the pick so insanely easy to pop on and off has made an already awesome product nearly perfect. Instead of having to weigh the costs/risks of needing to ski with the pick, it can just go into the pack or keep it on if that's the kind of thing you're skiing. And it is really easy to swap out, doesn't take even 30 seconds to swap. The pole is...perfectly fine. Nice and light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get a whippet don't get whipped Magic isn't just in the movies... it's in the mountains, where most of us feel free, so snag a whippet on your way out of the chalet and experience added safety to your high scrambles so you don't become scrambled eggs, I'm always going for faster and lighter and this is it. Stay sunny side up / don't get scrambled

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Oops, nice pole but sold as a single, not a pair. Just opened the box from Blackdiamond and was surprised to only find one pole. Checked the web to see if I made a mistake or they had. I figured out that it’s my mistake caused by a confusing product spec. The image shows a single pole and had I thought about the price I probably should have realized it was for only one when comparing so the fixed length carbon ski pole pair. What is misleading is the weight spec is listed as per pair and no where does it indicate sold as a single pole. That said, good quality pole albeit at a premium price. Took away one star since it is not as compact as a 3 piece pole but should be stiffer as a result. That was a trade off I was willing to live with. Time to go order the second one.
