DescriptionThe HiLight 3P is the perfect base camp for mountain adventures that require a long hike in. The tent’s three-person design and a roomy floor plan and also includes a second side access door. With an easy-to-pitch, two-and-a-half pole design, the set-up is quick and fool proof. The new Flow Manifold (patent pending) allows interior heat convection and exterior airflow to draw moisture vapor and stale air out of the tent. New, high tenacity 30D poly fabric keeps the tent tight as a drum in all conditions and is treated for flame resistance for North America compliance/availability. We’ve also added fully taped seams (no more seam sealing required on your own), reinforced internal pole grips, and reflective guylines that are now three times stronger. In addition, the Flow Manifold allows for a central, ceiling exit rope for anchoring in on steep pitches.
- Flow Manifold allows interior heat convection and exterior airflow to draw moisture and stale air out of the tent
- High tenacity 30D poly fabric improves strength and doesn’t stretch when wet
- 100% Taped seams (no consumer seam sealing necessary)
- Three-person design with extra door entry and optional vestibule for gear storage
- Two-and-a-half-pole design provides twice the strength and a drip-free awning
- Ground cloth (sold separately) is highly recommended
- Complies to FR regulation CPAI-84
- Comes with repair tube for tent poles

Rated 2 out of 5 by RowBear from Awesome Tent...If you're under 6Ft I originally purchased the HiLight 2P Tent w/ the vestibule and ground sheet only to find that at 6'2" I didn't fit in it. No worries, I called BD support and their awesome customer service allowed me to trade in the 2P for the 3P, which has a foot print that should theoretically fit my height. Unfortunately the 3P is also too small. Even when I'm laying diagonally my feet and head still press into the walls of the tent, which when winter camping get my down bag soaked! The issue is that the walls of the tent immediately angle towards the top of the tent, unlike other tents whose walls go straight up for 6ish inches and then angle towards the top. The set up and tear down is also quite the hassle, awful to get it set up especially when it's raining and even worse to get packed back into the storage sack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LG77 from Great looking light-weight product! I love this tent for its weight, size, functionality, and style. I’ve used it a number of times and the 3P is perfect for two adults + a dog or child. L I would recommend also getting the vestibule which is very helpful for great storage and opening up the inner space. I would suggest BD consider making it a standard component of the Hilight. What I Don’t like about the tent is the set up. It takes a few times to get the hang of it and I’m always nervous I’m gonna puncture one of the ones when putting in the final poles into the pole end slots in the base. The fabric is wafer thin (which I understand gives you the advantage of light weight) but you have ego be careful with it - any rock, pole or any remotely rough edge will tear it (I’ve already patched two small tears).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lancelot from Well build tent I bought one on Amazon. Did some treks and campings with it on African mountains (4000 m +). Simple to set up, light weight, very good material and spacious for 2. I didn't use it under tough environment but I feel this tent can hold extreme situation. It is more expensive than basic tent but you definitely but the quality and the usability.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Martin from Nice update to the previous model Pros: - As before it's surprisingly sturdy for such a lightweight tent. - The new "3 person" size is a lot more practical for two than the old "2 person" size. - The new blue fabric is much more waterproof than the old green fabric. - The roof vents do a pretty good job of letting air circulate while keeping rain out. - No need to apply seam-sealer. - Nice to have doors on both sides. Cons: - The roof vents work best in breezy conditions. In calm weather they're less effective and condensation can build up inside the tent. - This would be a very cramped tent for 3 people. - It's a bit heavier than stated. According to my digital scale the body and poles together weigh at least 4.5 lbs. With stakes and stuff-sacks it's close to 5 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Josh from Amazing, lightweight tent BD did an amazing job making the Highlight tent. Withstood 50+ mph winds when everyone else was getting broken poles. It also kept us nice and dry during a rainstorm. The Highlight is extremely packable and lightweight. Easy to setup and takedown.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Calvin from Rip Stop? Very unhappy with the durability of the tent. I received it 2 weeks ago and used it once on the N. Ridge of Baker. It has two holes in the rain fly where a small rock from a wind-wall was leaning on it for about 2 min. I love BD products but I'm not very happy about this.
