First Light Jacket - Past Season is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Blush Jacket arrived last week and temps in Texas were in the 60 so this is not a outdoor review. Quality was excellent, however, the real reason for my review was the fit. Ordered an XL, 6.Ft 185 athletic build. Fit like a glove... like it was tailored for my frame. Kudos again to BD for knowing what we are looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from simply WOW I love it! for me it's a excellent mid-layer form extrem cold. I generaly only use a wind breaker and a base layer at -20C while back-country skiing. This is a perfect jacket for the first few minutes in and whenever a take a quick brake. I am 6'1' 165pounds and the medium if perfect as if it was made for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Form-fitting Warm Light I got the last years model at a discounted price and would have given it 4.5 if possible - because it is too tight around the waist and that could be easily fixed by having adjustable pull cords instead. Otherwise, it is perfect. It can be worn inside a chilly house, as the outer layer in a 0C/32F run/hike/tour, and a mid layer in colder temperature. I would wear it as the only layer when warm and snowing lightly for under an hour but as an inner layer if the duration is longer/snow is wetter. I would buy another if I could - it's very good. I do not know how durable the material is - I've had it only for 2 weeks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warmer than expected. Got this coat at a heavy discount but quite happy with it. Warmer than expected, and quite compressible. Sizing is a little odd, I am 5'9" and 160lbs and the small just fits. No room for layering underneath. Found it long in the body for use as a mid-layer beneath a soft shell. Pockets are all useable and well placed. One minor gripe is that this coat is prone to turning inside out as you take it off. Overall, I think that this coat will serve me well in the moderate temperatures in wet coastal areas I spend most of my time in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glad it was on sale I first have to let you know I am a very cold person, the type that heats to my outer environment. So I have never had a coat/jacket that keeps me warm. This IS a great gym belay jacket and is now an under layer for my other coat. I think that’s it’s intention anyway , so it was a great purchase with that expectation. I will say because if the first statement, I would not have spent 229.00 so the sale price was amazing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly warm I have had this jacket for 2 weeks and I have hardly stopped wearing it when outdoors. I have been wearing it over a shirt and thin fleece top for walking in temperatures down to 25F plus some wind chill and felt completely warm. It is thin so I expect to wear it at colder temperatures under a snow proof shell. Ample pockets and the cut and fit are great for a lean six footer in size medium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I wanted to love this jacket at first but thought it was a little tight in the shoulders (I’m 6’ 181lbs) with a muscular athletic build (32-33” waist). I worse the jacket around the house to see if it was going to bother me or not and decided to keep the jacket. Within a week or two the jacket really grew on me and actually loosened up a little bit. Now I love it and wear it all the time. Perfect for cold mornings (5-35 degrees) biking with just a t-shirt underneath. The bottom line: I’m so glad I kept it and think it’s highly versatile.
