Helio 105 Carbon Ski - Past Season is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Light Skis Great skis for either Alpine Touring or skiing at your local resort. I used these all season, by far my favorite ski so far. Good width for powder, stays on top of the powder even at lower speeds. They also perform well on groomed runs. Tight edge to edge turns are no problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ski, tip dive tho Really solid light ski. Has a speed limit on hard snow. Really fun on soft snow. Agree w the reviews that highlight tip dive, which is remarkable for how frustrating it can be. The low rise tips seem to want to catch/dive skinning or in uneven snow. Considering a longer pair as they ski short on hard snow I suppose due to early rise?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BC Quiver Killer This is a great one ski solution for the backcountry. Sure, you can go lighter. Sure, you can go fatter but IMO this is plenty light and plenty fat for even the deepest days here in the Wasatch. I am 5'10" and 160lbs and went with the 175 cm but I'd probably size down next time to 165 as I think that is plenty of ski and makes the tight kick turns a little easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The One For those of you trying to decide on length: I am 6'3" 185 lbs and ski all types of terrain in the Wasatch. I owned the previous 185 cm version of this ski, as well as the Helio 95 in 185 cm. The old Helio 105's always felt a little sluggish in tight terrain and were always a pain in the butt when executing a kick turn on steep terrain. Same with the 95's, plus they don't float as well (duh). When I decided to get these, I went with 175 cm. Boy, am I happy with that decision. This is the sweet spot. They are snappy in tight trees and chutes, and surfy in chop and powder. These are not sticks for high speed groomers, but if you keep your speed in check they will deliver. Bottom line: When in doubt, think about sizing down instead of up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and fun! I finally splurged on backcountry skis and it was so worth it. These are incredibly lightweight and fun to ski! They certainly have less control on wind-affected or bumpy snow, but it's worth it for the easy uphill. They float nicely in powder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around touring ski I love this ski as it delivers on the way up behing so light. This is the number 1 reason I bought it. UYusally lighter skis are not so good going down, expecially in hard snow condition. I have to say this is quite a great ride, obviously in powder but also in wind packed, wet and hard snow. I even take it to the slopes on powder days and it skis really good in chopped snow. It holds an edge really good and I can carve pretty good. If I had one thing I could change, I would have a bit more tip curve. It's quite flat (I guess to reduce vibrations). This is good on hard pack and at higher speeds. This is a trend in most carbon skis in the industry. BUT it does create some negative result in some snow conditions were the tip will not surface as good. This is true while skining and while skiing. Note: I'm a telemark skier. This product is not recommanded for telemark. Note: I also have the Helio 116. You can check my review on this product as well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really light and fun skis I love these skis. It replaced my previous uphill setup which was much smaller and much heavier. These are fun uphill and down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Wasatch Ski! Picked up a pair of the 105 Helio Carbon and am super stoked. They’re the perfect ski for Wasatch Backcountry skiing. Put in a bunch of big days on them already and love these skis!
