Alpine Carbon Cork Trekking Poles is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super 42nd Anniversary Gift These replaced the earlier version of the Alpine Carbon Cork Trekking Poles I bought in 2018. I used them on our 40th Anniversary hike which was the TMB and our 41st Anniversary hike which was the West Highland Way. In 2020 the plastic on the locks broke and were lost which made locking and unlocking the poles very uncomfortable. My bride of 42 years solved this by gifting me the new poles. They are great!! I can’t wait for the next long anniversary hike. What makes them great? For starters, the straps are more comfortable. Second, the poles seem even lighter if that is even possible. And the best for last, the locking mechanism that contained plastic is now entirely made from aluminum. A fantastic change which I believe will make these poles last through many more long anniversary hikes compared with the old set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good. I like the design and feel. But I’ll have to wait for a full review until after putting in some serious mileage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ruggedly built but... These poles are well made and I believe they will hold up under the most extreme conditions. The odd decision that make me scratch my head is the 1.5m hex screw requiring a hex tool to adjust the tension on the cams. I’ve owned several sets of adjustable poles over the years a never needed a tool to adjust them. I’ve only used these on two full day so far but these screws seem to be a solution for a problem that didn’t exist and I now need to pack a tiny hex tool and remember where I put it. Maybe they won’t loosen like the other style adjusters so the tool won’t be needed much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best poles ever.. I have an older version from around 2012 and they are absolutely the best if they ever happened to break I'm just going to buy Black diamond Alpine cork once again they've seen countless trips and hundreds of hundreds of my.. two of my friends have both gone through three sets of poles in that same time span.. mine are still going strong!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and light poles I had bought these poles for Juan de Fuca and they did their job well. They were light and strong enough for what I needed to do. I would say that I wish the flip locks were more secure because my boyfriend who purchased the exact same poles lost the lower shaft right before we even started the trail head... Also need to be careful sliding the poles since debri will scratch it as you adjust the length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Robust Great for muddy coastal hiking where you need to rely on your hiking poles. The only minor downside is that any sand or grit that gets into the poles will scratch the powder coat when you collapse or expand them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pokes! I’ve only used them on a monster 2 day hike up 5700’ from sea level to alpine. Loved them. Light, comfortable grip, great locking mechanism. So far so good! Will be getting my wife the same poles
