Rated 4 out of 5 by Luc514 from A step up from the Bullet Sleek and narrow, big enough for shoes, water, jacket and a snack or a night on the town. The side pocket is easy to get to without having to take the whole bag off, the top closure is snug and easy to open while the top strap makes it a breeze to carry a rope or your helmet on the approach/descent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Karl from Favorite On-Route Pack This pack has become my favorite pack to carry on-route. I think black diamond has found a really nice compromise between: price, weight, volume, comfort, features, and durability with this pack. No issues thus far. Some minor abrasion, but it is holding up much better than the larger blitz packs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChrisAMGAclimber from Versatile design This pack has so many great features for a pack of this size and streamlined design. The size is perfect to take as a lead pack and possibly have a slightly larger one as a follow pack if it's a longer climb. The phone pounch on the lowerback right side is so convenient for those looking to take their phone (or other small objects) up the route for pictures or looking at the topo. Overall my climbing partner and I are very impressed by this handy pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fish from Brilliant design I have used this pack on 2 multi pitch routes since getting it, and it was awesome to have! The 15L just fits a 10mm 60m rope with just enough room for a water bottle and some snacks. If you needed more room you can just put your rope on the top. The removable waist belt and chest strap is so nice. And the waist belt can be moved to a higher loop so you can wear it compfortably with a harness on. Love this pack!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Alpine junkie from durability issue, otherwise great pack. Pros: - Climbs well. - carries a load well on approach, so long as you pack it carefully - pad the back pannel with puffy so cams, etc, don’t jam you in the back. I love the simple design. - Easy access to contents. - Holds a ton of gear for its size due to its shape and rope carrier strap. Easy to pack every cubic inch (no baggy spots). This is what makes it carry and climb extremely well. Cons: - - The small plastic cinch cord mechanism snapped in half after 2 days of use in Red Rocks. Before this happened, it was easy to open/close with gloves on. - After hauling it one pitch over a steep sandstone slab, it showed minor signs of abrasion in isolated areas toward the top of pack (typical for a lightweight pack like this). No big deal if you reinforce high-wear area with shoe-goo. Minor suggestions for BD- - redesign drawcord cinch mechanism. - make rope carrier strap a couple inches longer to make it easier to secure rope when fully loaded up. - make sternum strap attachment loops (located on shoulder straps) a tiny bit baggier to make it much easier to relocate sternum straps for my female climbing partner. - keep everything else the same. - add some lightweight, simple, attachment/lashing points for ice tools, crampons, or a hemet? Bottom line: I’m confident BD customer service will replace or repair this pack, hopefully with a more robust cinch cord tensioner mechanism. Does not quite live up to the 28L blitz, which is hands down my favorite pack, period (after 13 years of climbing). I think this pack is still worth buying - just expect to replace the drawcord cinch mechanism and reinforce high wear-areas (for hauling) with shoe goo. I’ll upload photos later if possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris from Initial Impressions I own a lot of packs in various sizes, but generally hate carrying them on-route. Since it becomes more and more of a stretch to avoid the pack on longer routes, I'm sometimes forced to carry one just to have enough water and other essentials I can't easily fit in pockets or hang off my harness. With the Rock Blitz 15, I've found an on-route pack that I'm actually happy to take up the climb. It's light, sleek, and the back length isn't stunted just to make it one-size-fits-all. The guidebook pocket is a perfect feature and the top "blitz" closure seems simple and functional. The construction is a good balance of abrasion resistance and weight without the full haul-proof super-high-denier nylon like some other designs. Full disclosure: I haven't actually brought it up a route, but it leaves a strong initial impression with me. This is a simple but well-thought-out leader pack - truly great product design. Wish I had this at Red Rocks last year.
