Cold Forge Down Hoody - Men's - Past Season is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Tried on tons of puffys from REI, Marmot, Mountain Hardware, and Arteryx. For me fit was way off with all of these. The Cold Forge is perfect and quality is as good as or better than Arcteryx. Zippers are better, nylon is better, hydrophobic down is better, and fit makes it. I'm 6' and 150-155 lbs with long arms. Cold Forge in small actually is perfect for me. I'm usually medium in most things, but this jacket has plenty of room even with wide shoulders up top. It's a trim fit, no big baggy areas but not even close to too tight. It's a bit longer to the hem than other brands which I like. Slightly snug in the hips but I'd rather that than a big bell bottom anyday. Love the sleeves. Plenty of length sits just where I like them and the cuff is so much nicer than your typical circle elastic. Great quality super warm and fit is beyond perfect. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-around gear. Very warm and I love the sleeve length. It's nice to have a coat that's not too big in the torso and too short in the sleeves. I am 5'11 and 165; perfect fit for me. It looks nice an evening out and suitable for skiing or hunting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, water resistant, packable I have used this in subzero temperatures in the Colorado mountains, recently on an extended high altitude bike tour in snow and rain. I find this to be a highly utilitarian hoody for hiking, cold weather camping, and as an added layer of insulation in my down bag. The hood is generously sized and can be drawn taught with the adjustment feature. I have another high-insulation hoody from Mammut and this is far better in every category. Some have complained about the long sleeves - it's a feature that keeps your hands warm when you don't want to use gloves, and it's very effective. I don't care if it isn't up to fashionista standards - it works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and Warmth First off, I love this down jacket. It's warm and has a great fit, the long arms are great when reaching out and stretching upwards. My only gripe or possible change would be to make the hand pocket zippers 1-1.5" longer. I find them a little tight. Still give this jacket a 5star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warmth with freedom of movement This is a great jacket. It's very warm without being bulky. As such you can move about in it without binding up. I would recommend it to anyone. I chest pocket might be nice though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall nice piece with a few gripes I have the 2016 version of this hoody, when the baffles were sown diagonally. I've used this guy winter camping, cragging (although it does lack a 2 way zipper for belaying), and as a warm outside layer for stops during winter trips. For now, I've been using it as a daily driver warm piece and it performs admirably there as well. I'll say this is a nice midweight down jacket, comparable to other manufacturers midweight down jackets. The reason I keep the cold forge is for the long cut. That's what sets it apart. The center back length is ~31.5 I believe, which gives good butt coverage when you need it. The insulation concept of down/synthetic mix is cool as well, but I haven't been wet enough to take advantage of it. I have two big gripes with this jacket however. First, it leaks down from the seams. It leaks more than any other down jacket I've owned. Sometimes they punch through the pertex, but it's mostly through the seams. I don't think I've lost significant loft but I do have a small collection of white feathers in the trunk of my car. The down redistributes and clumps in the baffles. My baffles aren't evenly filled. Down has clumped in most of the baffles leading to thick and thin spots. This isn't the only jacket with this problem, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Overall a nice jacket. Still my go-to for the coverage, high collar, and generous hood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent jacket I purchased this a month ago and have been very impressed. I work in the ski industry so I'm out on the mountain every day. The clothing I use gets used and abused. This jacket is warm and easy to move in , It is everything I wanted in a down jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Go-To Puff This is the second cold forge hoody I've owned, and probably not the last. Great fit, Hood is functional and fits well with good or not.
